I have a 2022 Lariat Maverick. From time to time I get a red flashing warning on my dashboard with a graphic that shows two vehicles about to collide. There were no other vehicles in my drive path which would set the alarm off. I brought it into my Ford dealership where I bought it from last November and they called Ford to troubleshoot the problem. They were a bit clueless to the problem and made some computer adjustments. It still happens but not as frequently. Has anyone else dealt with this issue? If so, did you resolve the problem?

Sorry I have not.
It’s weird though.
I’ve owned my truck for about 8 months and have seen this warning two times. Both times there were cars in front of my going the opposite direction.

What is weird is that it Happened only two times and it was sort of random meaning that I’ve had PLENTY of other similar driving situations where it did not go off. Others have commented on how useless it is.

I get the warning every day, multiple times a day. Always when cars are parked on the side of the street.

I have it set to low.

I had mine go off twice, and both times a car in front of me hit their brakes hard without turn signals on. And I dont tailgate.

So far, the few warnings I have seen were legit; mostly when I come up on a slowing car faster than the computer likes. While I was aware of the car and driving appropriately, I appreciated the heads-up.
I was surprised at the feature, since my XLT lacks the adaptive cruise radar.

Mine came on first time last week. There was a guy opening the door of his car parked on the side of the street. I was not close enough to hit him.
Yes, how do you adjust the sensitivity?

Pre collision stuff is based off of the camera behind your rearview window.

Mine has never gone off in my XLT -- mostly I just get warnings if snow or dirt is covering the sensor.

I got it only once, a week ago turning left onto the freeway. A Tesla slowed in front of me briefly, I thought it was cool…better than sleep warnings…

My 2023 XLT hybrid has gone off a few times. Usually a parked car on a curved road . Once at night when I came upon stopped car no brake lights and i didn't see it. So I like the feature. No idea what the setting is set to as I never adjusted mine. I wonder if anyone has had the brakes come on? As that is what is supposed to happen.

Anyone want to get card board boxes and paint a vehicle on them and see if the brakes do come on??

Do you mean in the windshield above the rearview mirror mount? That' what I figured, though I wonder how it measures closure rate. I haven't had a warning about camera fouling yet.
