Power loss ..any fixes??

Took Maverick back to dealership today. Five times it has lost power on highway after recalls done. Dealership got online & checked it out & acknowledged it's happening to people. Was told they were waiting to be contacted back by Ford to find out about a fix. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS SITUATION FIXED?? Does Ford have a fix?

My episode happened in the driveway, fortunately, was sorely PO'd since it was the first fun activity since getting the catheter out, then wasted the day at the Stealership and a quarter tank of gas, idling, while they fiddled and found nothing. Now I pray each time I get behind the wheel "Lord, is this going to not screw up today." I have to admit 'Tardy' is improving my prayer life.

I share your concern (fears) about getting stranded somewhere other than the driveway, close to a refrigerator. If I leave town I take the Toyota hybrid, much more confidence inspiring. All show-no go, sounds like some of my lady friends.

Same problem. My dealer said Ford engineers are working on a fix. No idea when that will be.

Hi, my 2023 XLT has died on me twice on the highway. I pull over shut it off and it resets itself. I am nervous because I’m driving long distances and I am afraid I’ll get killed if I don’t get off to the side of the road in time.

I am so not having any recalls performed until they figure this one out. I now have 3 they're trying to schedule, one for the taillights, emissions, and of course the one dealing with the potential fire should the engine expire. I'll just listen for knocking or odd sounds, I'd noticed them. I even notice the change in tone in cooler weather until it warms a bit, which my wife is oblivious.

I don't know if this will work or if you should even try this. After this happened to me , the tech came out and undid both battery cables and touched them together. He said this would reset the computers. Most of the error codes I got were about communication loss. Has been good since. Try at own risk.

I just checked my FordPass app. I don't have the emissions recall for my 2023 XLT Hybrid. Guess I am blessed I don't have to get it done. Had the battery recall, tailight recall and cluster.

I would say what the tech is trying to do is discharge a super capacitor(s) somewhere that is staying charged after battery disconnect and maintaining memory somewhere. Just may work. Who knows. I wouldn't't think it would hurt anything.

My ‘24 Maverick Hybrid decided to do that at the store, thankfully it was the store. Unfortunately, I was stuck at the store for 4 hours. Needing a jump in single digit temperatures is popular. Poor guy who came out to jump me said he had about 50 more cars. Then after the jump, the check engine light came on, with and said my doors and hood was ajar - when they weren’t. Not trusting it, I called for a tow to the dealership. It’s got less than 400 miles on it. I was so desperate to get home at that point, I called the police department in tears and asked if an officer could bring me to my house. He said they could but it was an unusual request. Because I have to work, I had to wait for a tow to the dealership, and then wait for a loaner. It’s been a day.
