I must say I agree with you on them being helpful when I called as well. I also have determined that they are the best at giving terrible news. I mean I honestly end the call with hope and get my soul crushed next scheduling day.
At least the Ford TV ads talking about the joys of special ordered vehicles leave out the Maverick. I especially like the part about "priority builds".

It is what it is.

The customer service member told me my truck parts were reviewed middle of February and there were no signs of delays. She assured me not to worry and I would have information soon. 2 schedulings since that call. I left feeling happy and now deflated. Oh well I am willing to wait with all the earlier oreers I see still remaining.

I think it's been proven week after week in the scheduling threads on this forum that constraints are not the delay. Allocations are the primary issue.
You are so right noMaverick! if I were you, I would not keep waiting in the dark, taking hopium pills while others that ordered after you keep cutting the line. Here is what I wrote to "Uncle Duke" on another thread.

This is brutal Uncle Duke, you ordered on June 10 way before the long line just 2 days after launch! Your First Edition should be called the Last Edition.

So sorry to see everyone's early orders still in limbo. People who were supposed to be driving their truck in Feb are being told May. But come May that can be Oct or next May with all the conflict going on in the world affecting not only chips but also magnesium for aluminum alloy to make engine blocks, lithium for batteries, and other rare earth materials.

Ford's promise to you in their Oct 21 email that gave hybrid order holders the free FITS items: "Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated."

I would call and write the CEO, CFO, VPs and every board member on their website and hold them to this promise to keep you updated. You should not have to guess if your truck will ever be built.

Tim at LM is even showing the true salesman he is by using his sales skills to keep his June/July buyers calm while others jump ahead of his long line due to LM not having enough allocations. Tim should have known it would be a problem to grab too many orders that should have gone to other dealers around the country. There are Bronco orders from 2020 still not delivered.

I would be very upset if I was at the grocery store owned by Ford in a check out line and they let shoppers keep cutting in front of me over and over...and over.

I ordered a Mav hybrid LUX 360 on June 17 and took delivery Jan 21 from my dealer 3 miles away at msrp + only a $85 doc fee. I thought I set the wait record. Commenter Kim Texas took delivery of her Lariat LUX early Jan. There are many more examples of people who are already driving their truck without facing the decision to compromise their builds.

No one from last summer should be waiting for a build date, especially First Editions. Before you placed your order, did your dealer warn you about their ratio of orders to allocations? You are now faced with removing features to save the chips required, but I highly recommend do not drop 360 because that may save you from getting into a bad accident. I use mine every day. This allocation non-disclosure can lead to injury attorneys naming the dealer in the lawsuit.

To stop this mess, Ford needs to eliminate the allocation system that favors dealers and schedule by date of order no matter which dealer you used.

Your argument is nullified by the dozens if not hundreds of later order hybrids identical if not more restricted than those of us with July/June orders that remain unscheduled. And that's just using this forum examples. The real world numbers are likely muliple thousands of like or more constrained hybrid builds from Aug/sept/oct being scheduled and some cases built before July/June orders.

People on here can keep arguing about constraints or tooting Fords chips exscuse all day long. But anyone even remotely following this can see the issue mostly allocations.

It's getting riduculous. We shouldn't have to pester Ford executives to take notice to get scheduled.
They might be given a build date and VIN, but how many of those are actually being built on that date or even being delivered? The majority of posts that I see have their build dates being pushed back. Whether your dealer has allocation room or not, it's going to be parked under the Mexican skies for quite a while until the remaining parts arrive.

I'm bought ready to jump ship....all these constant excuses by FMC....growing old....I'm sure the Ukrainian invasion will get thrown in there somewhere as a delay reason as well....

The rush...will surely affect quality on the line at some point. FMC knew of the chip shortage LONG before the release date of the Maverick...not sure why they waited so long to close ordering. These mid level procurement bean counters get paid over 120K to accurately forecast supply.

Might have splurge for higher quality and go Ridgeline...but I'm trying to hang on....
The reality of the Ukraine invasion will cause a lot of delays with the semi conductors chips etc. 90% of one of the raw materials comes from Ukraine!
If you don’t care about the atrocities going on Ukraine getting to you emotionally you’re gonna be shocked with all the other implications relating to natural resources, agricultural products and natural gas are shockingly large….

I've been whacked by both of these issues -- constraints and allocations.

Early in my Maverick learning curve I had the spray-in bedliner option. I didn't know it was constrained. My dealer had allocations, but used them to fill slightly later orders without SIBL. So, my primary problem was constraints.

I dropped the bedliner and Ford was building Mavericks just like mine and shipping them out. But my dealer had no allocations and my order stayed unfilled. So, my primary problem was allocations.

It's more complicated than that, of course. Ford makes its own decisions about how to use constrained commodities. And as for allocations, well... the Ford works in mysterious ways.

But for each customer the "primary issue" is the one that's biting them at the moment.
I think you've got it right. Each week between allocations and the percentage of constraints each in their own way play the biggest factor in scheduling. There's a post on the forum that was from an interview with a Ford rep in which he explained how the scheduling process works. The interview was 2008 so I'm sure there's been some changes since then, but the way he described the process does sound a lot what's still happening today.

Personally I'd much rather have a build date knowing that at the time I was selected the factory was saying, "yes we have everything we need to build your Maverick either on hand or scheduled to arrive during the building process". The majority of builds are taking place and getting shipped out. However, there are those that have been hit with a supplier issue causing their Maverick to be built but not completed. Then because of those supply issues I'm thinking this why some folks build start dates are pushed back. We've also seen where build dates have been moved up, my start date moved up by 2 weeks just recently. Having a start date means you've overcome the 2 major hurdles in the whole process, allocations and constraints percentages. Once you get past them it's only a matter of time before you get your Maverick. Without a build date you have no way knowing if you're even going to be scheduled in MY22!
