2024 MY EcoBoost AWD XLT. I always drive with Auto S/S disabled, in normal mode, and have lane assist disabled completely. I have noticed lately that whenever I run over a bump in the road that is on the left side of the vehicle, it will actually hop a few inches to the left despite holding the steering wheel straight and true, but when I run over bumps on the other side, it holds straight and true. I have just under 1500 miles on the truck, and I wanted to see what everyone here thinks before I go and argue with the dealership. I have the extended warranty package, not that it is needed or anything, I paid in full so I can take it wherever but I would prefer the dealership that sold it to me does anything chassis related.

The road crown isn't the issue either, I had a 2013 Explorer with the same EPAS system that didn't have this issue and it had 300,000 on it. I have noticed some inward bulging on the driver front outer sidewall on the factory Continental ProContact tire.

Thanks all.

Sounds more like a Strut or suspension problem. Al so the slight bulge in the tread is possibly a Tire separation, on the sidewall an assembly joint (normal). As a former Ford Tech we had nothing but problems with the early Conti-Tracs not holding up to our Southwest Desert summer heat, not your problem in the upper Midwest.

if your truck was lowered I'd blame bump steer but since it's only one side no. you need to take it for an alignment and see what they come up with.

Sounds like a bad strut or steering component. Get it checked out and let us know what they find. Alternatively if you have the ability to jack that side up you can remove the wheel and inspect everything.

If you suspect a tire pulling to the left (or right) just rotate tires front to back and see if that changes anything.
