I really wanted Black or Carbonized Grey…
BUT - if i had it to do over and order a Mav think I’d go with the HPR!
That is one beautiful color!! And ageless IMO

Stupidity is definitely a factor, but I think part of it is also the combination of DRLs, digital dashboards and auto headlights that are commonplace now. Some people are easily baffled by modern technology...

About 1 out of 10 times I drive at night I will see someone doing freeway speeds with no lights on whatsoever. Pitch dark, except for DRLs if you're lucky. I can come up behind them and rapidly flash my high beams, get in front of them and turn off my lights completely a few times, and even shine the spotlight I carry in my truck at them, and they just cannot make the connection. Oblivious. It's not road rage, you dolts - I'm trying to help you while you motor along, thinking "Jeez, my headlights sure don't work too well..."

Too bad the US cannot be like Canada with lights on at all times.

Well the decision has been made, INDIRECTLY...

After asking my dealer whether I would get a '24 since ordering in May, they backtracked a little from their "4-6 months" and said it might go into 2025 and reorder yada yada.
So I dug around online and contacted a bunch of places. One had Azure Gray w/BAP Lariat and they lowballed me on trade. Then I found a dealer with a canceled HPR, would do X plan plus give me 2000 more in trade. Net was $1500 difference plus doc fee so pretty ok with that. So I'm driving 4+ hrs to Michigan tomorrow to get it. So I will have an HPR, but not because the voters said so lol.

Well I spent all day driving to get her today. 4.5 hrs each way! I put in eco the whole way and ran low-mids 70s most of the way home trying to vary the speed some. I was 40 minutes from home and decided to fill it up to get an idea of mileage. 259 miles with 28.9 electric and only took 5.9 gallons. Are you kidding me? 43 mpg all highway with less than 300 miles on the odo and not broken in??? Topped of to 6.1 gallons. The dash said 38.6 mpg.

I'll be a bit of a devil's advocate here and try to boil down your own thoughts.

First of all, I drive 700+ miles a week and want something fairly easy to maintain and hide dirt.

You're already 75% of the way there with this thought. The vehicle is a tool to serve you. The nature of its work is outside. If trying to keep it "clean" causes you any kind of second thought then just focus on "maintaining" it. Eg. Dirty=ok but things that may cause rust are not, buildup, salt, etc.

Buy what YOU like, if anyone ever makes you feel otherwise then them. Colors that stand out are great for finding your car in a parking lot.

Didn't think they were so different that one would be an option and the other not, but I've never seen velocity in person. Doh, rule #2 me and my opinion. Only yours counts in this situation.

Azure gray- thinking about this and have seen it on a bronco sport, but not sure.

Sounds like the grey you lean toward most. Grey likely hides not washing best.

Ordering a hybrid Lariat from my local place on X-plan and beating myself up on colors. First of all, I drive 700+ miles a week and want something fairly easy to maintain and hide dirt. My current 24 EB is Terrain and isn't terrible except for the bugs on the front.

No white - fleet truck
Black/Carb gray - impossible to keep looking clean
Terrain - stays clean, but meh
Silver - silver vehicles everywhere
HPR - like this, but I'm 55 yo lol
Not into Altas blue, wish velocity was still around
Cactus gray- in the running but see a lot in this color
Azure gray- thinking about this and have seen it on a bronco sport, but not sure

And I think trying to sync up a good combo with the interior options is also difficult. Was thinking BAP, but don't like the matte wheels. So desert brown and? I need help and maybe pics

Last fall I celebrated my 60th birthday and 25th cancerversary. Mine will be hot pepper red! Age is just a number, and we're old enough to know what we want.

life's too short for boring colors.. HPR looks good on you ;-)

mine ordered last year is Atlas Blue Metallic, not a red guy myself and that was the brightest non-red I could find. Build date is given as June 21, waiting patiently..
