Physically Touch a Maverick

Went to the auto show in Albany NY. They had a XLT eco boost Maverick on display. I got to sit in it. I'm 6'2" and I felt very comfortable in the driver's seat. My son was with me and he sat in the rear seat behind the front passenger. He thought it was a little tight until he realized the front seat was pushed back all the way. He adjusted the seat and everything was cool. The Maverick was in Velocity Blue the same color I ordered and it looks great. Can't wait for my Maverick to get here. I ordered a hybrid Lariat with Lux pkg 6/21. No word from Ford on the build.

It's a good feeling isn't it? A couple of weeks back my dealer got an XLT trainer unit in and we were able to do something similar and it just reaffirmed to us that it's going to be worth the wait.

There have been 2 or 3 at dealerships in my area. I've not gone to see them. At this point I've decided for the whole thing to be a surprise to me whenever mine arrives at the dealership. I have seen a Ranger in my color (cactus gray). Hopefully it will be a nice surprise. LoL

Agree it's good to finally see one in person. On Friday I saw one for the first time and test drove it. I hate seeing June orders without a build date yet. During the test drive my salesman said they've been told things "will really pick up in November." I hope so and that guys like you get scheduled pronto. I also ordered a hybrid Lariat (no lux pkg) but 2 months later than you.

I ordered an XLT A51 2.0 in mid-July, two weeks ago FORD e-mailed me with a build date of Dec. 6th. Then a week later e-mailed me again with the build pushed back to Dec.13th. Last Tuesday FORD e-mailed me a third time and said my build date is now Nov.13th, this coming Monday. HOORAY for November!! Feel the excitement now . .

Both my wife and I have driven the Maverick at the local dealer. We ordered a hybrid and this one has the eco boost. Very smooth ride. Drove exceptionally well. Our hybrid has a build week of December 6th. Ordered in mid June

I saw my first Maverick in the wild this morning at a grocery store. The guy got it about three weeks ago and he is quite impressed although I got the feeling he wasn't all that enthusiastic about it, like he just wandered into a dealership and they sold him one. Anyway, I liked the size and design quite a bit.

Seeing one in person sealed the deal for me. They are absolutely the perfect form factor for someone who needs a daily driver with a comfortable 2nd row of seats that can double as a home depot hauler. The ability to tow a small trailer and AWD is icing on the cake.

I said for years if they would bring back the little 80's era toyota pickup with 4 doors and AWD I'd buy it. This is the first vehicle that fills that bill.

Great to see a build date moved forward instead of back! At least you know you're in the hunt. Those without build dates don't know if they'll be getting their scheduling email in one more week or 10.

I also sat inside a Maverick at an auto show. I'm 6' with long legs and didn't have trouble "sitting behind myself". Actually thought it was more spacious than the latest Ranger...
