There is not price protection from 2022 to 2023 that is what the private offer is for the difference in the price increase actually turns out to be a little more. Ford will only price protect for same year pricing. As far as Appearance Protection and Dent Protection $639 each just dealer profit but you have to decide that, the rest looks legit. Good luck if you get the truck I really like mine.
My issue is this. I signed a order sheet in Sept when I rolled my 22 into the 23. I have attached both photos. The first is from September, this being the price we agreed to. The second being what the dealer told me today was the out the door price. The top price is different by 480$. In my mind I should be paying the lower as that’s what was agreed upon when ordering.

You are probably right if you signed a agreement for a 2023 with price of $28,055 and now the price went up for 2023 to $28535, then you should be price protected to that price and get your rebate. Just talk to the dealer that should be easy for them to understand. Ford raised the price after order banks were closed. Good luck!

Is the $500 term neglecting the $500 you had to put down when placing an order? Or was that not required for '22 models?

The dealer I went to only required a 100$ deposit to lock in the price

I just picked up my Maverick 6 weeks ago and the dealer honored the price BEFORE the increase, since the order was placed prior to the increase. Nearly everyone who has faced this situation has had the same experience, although a handful of people have said the dealer would not honor the original price. Good luck
I think there's a helluva lot more than "a handful of people" that were screwed by their dealer, losing incentives available at time of order, or the private offer fiasco, or just plain old-fashioned bs like appearance protection.

Dealer add-ons just pad their margins. They're not worth it.

Ah. Mine required $500 for a '23. Fully refundable they said. I got confused by some numbers having completely forgotten about that 9 months later :D

Not sure what my dealer will do. Wonder if we could have a line item that reads:

Nonsense - a service, NOT a product $2,000

So as to avoid sales tax?

Yup, picked her up 2 weeks ago. New tot the forum here and from my readings apparently I must have a horseshoe up my ass. Ordered the very last day of the 5-day order window for 2023s back in September. Almost missed the window but happened across a news article saying Hybrids were sold out. Though I'd prefer a Hybrid, AWD is an absolute necessity living in City of Buffalo. We made national news this year for all that frigging snow.

Anyways, pretty sure ordering an XL with limited options may have also helped. Build date was first week of February I think? Got delivered sometime before Easter when of course I was on vacation. But the dealer held it and honored the price. Did get slightly turned upsideown by that $500 I forgot I gave them :D

You bought from AutoNation. I

I Hope everything works out for you. I bought a new vehicle from an AutoNation dealership and the things that you are describing seems to be the norm. The Permaplate and dent protection are just additional dealer markup items. They told me that they would not sell me the vehicle unless I purchased them.
Well my dealer ended up sending me a new OTD price with all that garbage removed so that’s nice!

Two or three observations. First, not sure in your area, but we get tint done here in TX by reputable third parties for $75 for both front windows. Second, what is "dent protection." Have never heard of that one, but cannot imagine something can keep your Maverick from getting dented in you back into, run into, or someone bumps into sides of vehicle. Third, what do they include in appearance protection? I have seen some in the past just want to put some generic wax like you would get at a car wash and charge some outrageous price.

Yes, they should honor the price prior to the increase.

Good luck. Looks like they are taking back the $2,750 plus some.
Dent Protection is PDR (paintless dent repair) for minor door dings, not a hail loss (you're already insured for that with your Auto insurance policy), nor collision dents (same reason).
