How do you test emergency auto braking? A cardboard box? Does anyone know?
Some folks claimed they were going to tape some cardboard boxes together into a "castle wall" and then drive at it as fast as their nerves could handle in an empty parking lot. Don't know if anyone has followed thru though.

To bad there is no good way to test this.
Actually there is. Use card board boxes and paint a object like a car onto the boxes. Then go at them at say 10 mph./ It should stop. I have seen this done cant remember where. Some test of how effective the auto braking between cars. I guess I saw it on youtube.

How do you make it less sensitive? I honestly can't stand it but don't want to eliminate it, just in case.
Hi - Sit in the driver's seat and push the start/stop button without your foot on the brake or turn the key to accessory. Look on the right of your steering wheel. Press "menu".
Use the "OK" button: push it down to toggle to "settings". Press "Ok" button [the same one that toggles up and down] Toggle from "Settings" to "driver's assistance". Select "Pre-collison assist" by pressing "Ok". The screen will read "alert sensitivity". Scroll using the toggle on the "Ok" button to "low". There is no choice for off. Below the "pre-collision alert" you will see "Active braking". Check or uncheck the box to activate or deactive. Press "Menu" to get out of the screen and back to whatever screen you have as your "main screen". Push the start/stop button or turn the key off. Go find something cold and strong to drink... Hope this helps.

Has anyone experience pre collision not working after update for engine shudder and grabby brake?
shuddering stopped and brake works fine. But you will certainly rear end someone if you’re not paying attention for some reason.
For some reason?
So PAY ATTENTION!
Sheesh……..shouldn’t have to say this.
What did you do with previous vehicles?
Drive by Braille?

I dont understand peoples anti response to a safety feature. Another thread there is a guy who hates daytime running lights. He goes if you cant see as good as I can don't drive. Well in a perfect world all those types of things would be true. BUT we don't live in that perfect world.

In the past the roads were not near as crowded as they are now. More traffic more chance of this feature saving a person distracted for what ever reason. Yes yes don't get distracted. 286 million on road now 118 million in 1970.

Don't do that. I learned that from my doctor. ME: Hey doc, it hurts when I do this!" DOC: Don't Do that"

Two things:

  1. You can adjust the sensitivity in the truck's menu.
  2. Clean the front facing camera that is used for it. I hit a pterodactyl of a bug and it alerted. Then it said it was temporarily disabled until the camera was cleaned off. Which I did.
