Thank you for the pictures. They look great, that's exactly what I wany. I intended on having a body shop install them.
In my opinion they're installed exactly where yours are at the apex of the roundness of the door
Thanks I think the color match is pretty close. So far no one hit them yet. I only have 6,400 miles on it after 1 year and a month. I hope your happy with them once you get them installed.

I was thinking of getting running boards that way at least shorter vehicle door will hit them before the vehicle

Does anyone know of a company that makes running boards for the Mavs?

We got this wrinkle about 6 months ago, it didn't crack the paint, but it's on the drivers side. So I notice it all the time. One day I might cover it with some graphics.

If you see an open spot and the vehicle next to has very young children flying out the doors run for the hills.

A few weeks after delivery of my '23 XLT hybrid, I parked in a fairly remote section of Home Depot, only to find this upon my return.

Yes, someone had run a shopping cart into my door hard enough to make quite a dent. The lot was flat and level enough that this could not have happened by accident. Some people can really be chickensh*t when the green monster of envy takes over. I suspect their behavior will eventually catch up with them. Karma can be like that. I have since acquired a similar ding on the other side.
I see you parked a mile away and there is another car right behind you. I try to do the same, but I can park in the far corner and someone will park next to me or in front of me. I prefer not backing up so I park so I can go forward and they will park in front of me and have 5-6 spaces empty on either side of them. Go figure.

Parking lots are the most dangerous places on earth. I will only go shopping at the big name stores first thing in the morning. If I can't get to the store before 10am I will wait and go the next day, helps being retired. If I just have to go get something that can't wait I do the remote parking thing also, luckily I can still walk fine, just can't stand around much without knee pain. I hate parking lots for sure.

To what you wrote, I add, stay away from SUV's driven by soccer moms. The kids fling open the doors without any thought or awareness - they are kids - but they do the damage.

They came with directions with a picture showing where to place them. They gave dimensions in inches. I had mine installed higher than suggested. I parked close to my Silverado and my Focus and rested the door from both vehicles against the Maverick door. I measured both and had them installed fairly close between both contact points. The directions had the placement lower than I had them installed.
Rick,
I've got a favor to ask of you.
Since the directions show 15 in and 15 and 1/2 in. You had your body shop install them a little higher. Would it be possible for you to measure where you had yours installed? Please.

What could go wrong giving an 8,000 Lb. monster SUV, that has more power than Jesus would need to resurrect the entire planet after Armageddon, to an individual with next to zero driver training?!

Edit:

There is a local octogenarian that has a Hummer EV as their daily driver. We live in a very rural area that has a lot of "paved" side roads that aren't rated for that amount of weight on a 2-axle vehicle.

Hummer EV 9,500lbs.
0-60mph in 3-4 secs.

That's 1500 lb heavier than my 350 dually and a heck of a lot faster
😁

I got the Dawn Enterprises ones for my '22 XLT:

👍 Mouldings
I generally don't like stick on window visors. The way you trimmed the rear ones to meet the front ones really blends well. Terrific looking. 👍

2 months after picking up from dealer got 2 dings at the doctors office lot. I was pissed at first but don't really notice them now. That was a year and a half ago. I'm sure I'll have more by the time I get rid of it.

I got dinged by an acorn falling from an oak tree at sams today. Thought I was ok parking in the shade, won't do that again.
You were sort of "nuts" to park there in the first place!! I keep my Mav in a metal car port beneath a large oak. If you are getting in or out when an acorn hits, you WILL react!!
