If anyone is interested, I just listed a flat bottom heated steering wheel on eBay. Installed it at about 6000 miles, truck has 8604 now.

I have a Lariat EcoBoost and I have a strong desire to just change the steering wheel to one that feels solid, ergonomic, and has leather. It doesn't have to have the paddle shifters.

Could I just swap out the existing buttons into a new steering wheel? Would anyone have a recommendation for a particular wheel?

Ford escape or Bronco wheels are leather . And yes you can switch the switches

Is the wire jumping still the only way to add paddle shifter? I can work Forscan but the wiring is just too scary to me.

I'd really prefer something that we can just buy a factory harness and flip in ForScan, just like the remote tailgate or the LED lightings.

But they are not flat bottom.

I could care less about leather and heating, but I really want that paddle shifter and flat bottom.

I mean you need a way to tell the pcm to shift up and down I don't think it's going to be wireless . But I could try making one but it's going to be expensive . And not worth the trouble.

I'm in no where saying any about "wireless". Like the remote tailgate, all you need is add electric regulator and a harness with extra plug for it to control the lock.
I mean if Ford has it on other vehicles, could it be possible if we can just get some wiring harness for that vehicle and make it work? I know people initially had to splice or jump wire on the tailgate as well, until someone find out the part you can use.

Like I was saying there's a way to do it but you will need 2 conectors and one of them it's the pcm one . Just a female and male connector for the pcm it's going to be like 300 bucks . Easily from ford. This it's me guessing. Then you will need 2 conectors for the steering control module . So I probably guess those will cost around 150 .

Everything its possible but it's all about the money.

You could also take it to a technician he can read the wiring diagram and figure it out for you. I know it's kind of hard to do for some ppl and kind of risky to mess with pins.

If I get at least minimum 20 ppl to support the idea and are willing the spend the money I will make a plug and play version of this . You will still need the forscan and maybe you could enable it with a cobb tuner as I seen ppl do it on Fast Mavericks Facebook.

That'd be great and I'm definitely would be interested.
I'm comfortable of working with ForScan.
