So I'm an original owner of a 2022 Ford Maverick 2.0 ecoboost truck. It has been a great truck untill this morning on my way to work a P04F0 popped up so I turned around and headed back home. 9nce there was light out ( I leave at 5 in the morning California) I started doing my research on the code. Looked at chaffed wire under the driver side seat( under the truck and the mesh covering) no signs of broken wires and all connections are soild both electrical and fuel. Nothing loose or anything like that. Check ylunder the hood all good. Read about evap lines rubbing towards the back driver side wheel. Found my problem the clip that separates the 2 lines has been vibrating and rubbing to the point that it destroyed bothe line causing my P04F0 code. There is no tsb and my local dealer wanted my truck over the weekend to figure it out. Not falling for that trick. Didn't want to take the risk of them having it and telling g me its other parts that are wrong at that they are not covered by warranty and having it for a week and a $1000 dollar bill for what I can fix foe 20 dollars. My truck is garage kept its whole life with no rodents. At work I park in. A concrete parking lot with no rodents either.
Point of the story is Check your ecoboost for this problem you don't even have to remove anything just kinda push to the side the covering and thro some light in there. Hope this helps any body's who has had this issue. In the last picture you will see the clip that causes all this damage.
