I pre-ordered a 25 mav lariat. Coming from my last few trucks : 19 ram 1500, 21 ram 1500, 23 ram 1500 Laramie…no issues, high quality vehicles, had each up to 55k (23 has around 22k on it)

that being said, I’m buying the Mav hybrid solely for fuel economy/commuting

I’m a bit nervous about the transaction, I’m selling my ram and will take somewhat of a loss either way of least a few thousand dollars. I keep reading about so many random issues people have with their mavericks. Cv axle, transmission leaks, windshields prone to damage, interior rattling, bed rusting under the factory spray liner, hybrid battery issues….how well made and reliable are these vehicles ? Hybrids only

From what I have read, the CV Axel on prior model years is the most concerning issue. The Battery issue is an easy aftermarket fix if it happens. Hopefully the 25 MY they improved the CV axels.

To ease your mind, I have a '22 hybrid XLT lux pkg that's had 0 issues so far and is sitting at 25k miles. I do drive 90% highway miles though so I've heard those are "easier" miles on the vehicle. First oil change at 800 miles and then 5000 miles after that

Good to know especially for a 1st yr. I know every vehicle has an exception, I’ve certainly seen a fair share of rams have their issues

I'm no products fanboy. Lord knows I've ragged on Mabett about the poor quality of their side markers.
I have also praised the quality of their flexible soft touch Dash tray.
I consider my Mavericks quality as Fair. It's not super great and it's not terribly poor. Pertty middle of the road.
Remember, the Maverick was a low price point vehicle. Designed to hit the market with a price of $19,995 for the hybrid. With that in mind, I would imagine the contracts were awarded to the vendors with the cheapest prices = cheap quality?
Putting together a vehicle on a moving assembly line, does have its challenges. Along with the employees assembling said vehicle. An old adage was. "🥳You never wanted to buy a vehicle assembled on a Monday.🤮"

Hybrid seems quite reliable after the first hiccups and I expect it to be more reliable than the EcoBoost. You'll be disappointed by the interior compared to your other vehicles, but it sounds like you might already be aware that it's "not great".

25Fmaverick, I too came from a long line of Ram trucks, and I too had the same questions about the Maverick quality and the reported issues you're asking about, when I bought mine.

You did say "hybrids only", and mine is not a hybrid, but for the items that are common to both models, I have to say I've been please.

Overall, I have not found a noticable difference in build quality between my Rams or my Maverick.

Good luck! :)

Yes I drove in a 24 hybrid xlt and actually don’t mind the seats at all, although I haven’t experienced the lariat vinyl that I ordered. The plastic trim is ok, I do wish it was black instead of that blue color. Ultimately, these days, we’re all trying to save money and that’s the only reason I’m getting the maverick, for its fuel economy. I think the 25 lariat is pretty well equipped overall for what it is. A lot of tech/safety , also trying to clarify if it has the auto dimming side and rear view mirrors ?

No to auto dimming mirrors.
Review or sides. 😕
There are quite a few threads about changing out the rear view mirror.

Looks like I have my first project before I even have the vehicle 😅 that’s a must have and imo far more important than some of the other safety tech they’ve added. Unless it’s fully autonomous, all of the tech in the world isn’t going to save you if you can’t see at night

You have to manually flip the little tab at the bottom of the rear view mirror for night time. If you search there are quite a few threads on changing out the rear view mirror because there is power up by the mirror it is fairly easy you just need to be careful taking off the housing so you don't snap any of the tabs. You can probably do a proper swap out for around $100.
