Just ordered my Maverick XL AWD blue. From what I seen on different posts if it's ordered before 1/25/24 the build date would be 3/1/24 does that sound correct. And after I place order what will be my first notification from Ford. Thanks

Does you dealer have allocations left? First email from Ford will be order confirmation. Keep this first email as you will be able to track progress of your truck. Also read the TRACKERS link above, there is a lot of good info in there.

You are in for such a world of hurt thinking as you are.
It could easily be 6 months or a year - or more.
You could get the "we have no idea" email from Ford every 45 days, but if the dealer uses their email address you won't even get those.
You are expecting it to be built 5 weeks from ordering. That is wildly unrealistic. This is not like ordering any other kind of vehicle.
Good luck, hope you're anywhere near right - but you know its a month or two even after being built to ship?

Build date is not determined by order date. There are numerous factors involved in scheduling.... Your dealer needs allocation for any of their orders to be considered for scheduling in a given week. When scheduled, you are given a build week (which often changes). When you get closer to your production time, you get a build date.

For this current week, Ford is scheduling Mavericks all throughout March. So if yours is scheduled tomorrow, it will be sometime in March. If yours is scheduled in Feb, it will probably be for an April build-date. If yours isn't scheduled until March, then you are likely looking at a May build-date.

I received mine two weeks after build. Not a month or two. I've read all of the horror stories but that is not today's standard.

Not how scheduling works at all, and they are oversold on XL trim. NEW XL orders might not see 2024 model year production at all.

I work for a dealership. I know how scheduling works. Scheduling usually happens on Thursdays. So you will no sometime tomorrow whether you were scheduled this week or not.

Mine was scheduled week of 11-13-23, built 11-15, shipped 11-17 and got to my dealer 12-29. 6 weeks shipping to Detroit. It sat in East Saint Louis, IL for 3 weeks.

I see you ordered an Ecoboost, which is far more likely to arrive in a timely manner than a hybrid. So that's on your side. The truth is nobody on this forum has a clue. Another person's experience at another dealer in another region - 100% irrelevant to you.

The entity most likely to have a grasp on dealership allocations and timeline is your dealer. It's just a question of how honest they are. My dealer was great, but they simply declined to predict anything. I thought that was at least honest of them.

Of all things, this weeks constraint list shows exhausted availability of 17" A/S tires. Since the exact brand isn't specified when ordering, hopefully Ford is putting together an alternate source for the Continentals.

Thanks for your support really not in a hurry anyway to get it because interest rates are high right now. Hopefully my dealership is telling me the truth. I believe them because when I was there ordering my truck they had the exact same truck as I ordered that just came in that day and said it took 4 months to get. Also as we were building my truck they told me what things that could hold up the build. So like you said everyone's dealership is different. Thanks again
