I ordered through local dealer and received attached confirmation email within an hour. Details of order follow image in pic. Find another dealership.

I received same thing ordered hybrid at mullinax ford vero beach fl. oct 21st and had this same email from ford ,the same day. just checked with the dealer today , and they said all is still on ( I hope) .he said its in the system, just waiting on a build date.

Yeah, I see that and it looks like the dealer probably screwed up submitting your order to Ford, plain and simple.
I've seen quite a few people that seem to be comfortable with submitting an order and not getting the email confirmation from Ford. Knowing how these email automations work, there really are just four scenarios that make sense to me.

1) They didn't submit the order
2) They submitted their own email address with the order
3) They made an error when entering the email address
4) There is something related to your email that is conflicting (blocked by spam by organization rules, in spam folders, etc)

It seems like reason 2 and 3 should both be able to be fixed right? Can they not edit the email address after the fact?

Reason 4 would be more likely if using a less common email address or one managed by an organization or something, but should be able to be verified. Having the possibility that they didn't submit the order would make me nervous.

It made me nervous also, but how far do you push the salesman or the manager? I didn't want to be hostile. I would have thought they knew what they were doing.

I'm talking about the DORA you sign. That has prices listed on which YOU agreed to pay.
Right. It shows what YOU agreed to pay.

As you can tell from many other posts on this topic, it doesn't necessarily mean that the dealer will sell it to you for that amount.

If you think that a DORA signed only by you protects you from the dealer bumping the price, please tell that to the people who have already been burned.

Car salesman are used to hostile !:) that is what gets them moving and doing there job. somebody screwed up your order . you should have gotten ford confirm right away.

Take a look at all the posts here where buyers hope their dealers will honor MSRP and won't do ADM and high cost dealer adds on delivery.
Yes, I realize you were just responding to other off topic posts that collectively ballooned the thread to 7 pages.

You are overthinking. I learned about the Truck probably the same way you did. It was all over the internet. That's how I found this club. #1 This topic had been repeatedly discussed on this forum.

#3 I never got ANY correspondence directly from Ford. I got a copy of the build (order sheet) that was filled out at the dealership from Fords website and a receipt for $500.

Why did you never contact the dealer to find out why you never got any emails from ford if you follow this forum? I guess this is why I'm lost. you state you follow this forum but never reached out to the dealer to inquire why no email.

I did get a copy of the build sheet (order sheet). I repeatedly questioned the salesman about a conformation number. He got his manager and they assured me the order was in. But I never got ANYTHING from Ford.

Yes, I wanted the hitch.
You can get a hitch with the Hybrid, but you can’t get the 4K tow package. Maybe this is where the misunderstanding is? You can only get the 4K tow package with the Ecoboost Engine; Hybrid tows only 2k. I actually have a hybrid XLT with the Luxury package on order, and the Lux package includes the hitch. I think the 4K tow package includes a number of additional mods beyond the hitch. Anyway - poor communication from the dealer.
