tldr: love the little truck and am no longer considering turning around and selling over MSRP. Ordered 09/2022, took delivery 01/2023.
I've taken the Mav through many types of driving; highway, city/stop and go, moderate off road (snowy national forest roads). Have not towed anything yet though. Eventually will need to tow snowmobiles/ATVs.
Cons:
Auto start/stop. The toggle switch does not retain the next time you start the truck; will play around with FORscan in the coming weeks.
Seat belt status every time you drive; I've read FORscan changes can solve that as well.
Pros:
Surprisingly comfortable. I'm not a big guy by any means but the Mav just seems to fit me like a glove. It's more comfortable than my Edge Sport which I still can't believe.
Ride quality. It feels solid and rides really well on the highway, even with the FX4 package.
Fuel economy. I have probably the worst configuration for economy (EB, FX4, different gear ratio) and was still getting 28-29 mpg on the highway.
Android Auto/Apple Carplay. Works flawlessly. I like the barebones display that basically relies on your phone. Also purchased a wireless AA dongle so I don't have to plug my phone in each time.
Bed versatility. I haven't hauled large loads yet but the bed has everything you need to make it work (put some ratchet straps in the little cubby in the bed)
Off road ability. Just some minor stuff so far but it handled it with ease. It will get tested in the mud in the spring.
Price. Such a great value all around.
