Wow You do a lot of driving? Do live far away from work?
Chops is correct, I'm retired. Funny thing is, I traveled heavily for my job, so you would think I'm tired of driving. Currently planning my next trip, hoping to get out to Denver/Pikes Peak this month.

I was told by many mechanics to not go by the monitor, go by miles driven. The monitors are highly inaccurate. I had an 09 Honda crv.i used conventional oil and at 5000 miles the monitor said i has 74% oil life left.
I had a 2015 Honda CR-V on which I put around 4k miles per year. I ran 100% synthetic and changed it every 12 months. The monitor NEVER showed less than 90% life left.

In my case, mileage is due to a 1200 mile round trip once a month to Oregon and back to visit my mom and do biznis. Add in all my local driving, and you get about 2000 a month.

The main purpose of buying the Mav was to defray costs of driving my Transit(not Connect) at 15-16mpg. It pays for itself in relative costs. Once I'm done with this type of commuting I'll likely buy something more pleasant to drive and ride in. And maybe upgrade the van to a ready-made campervan like the Revel or something. Probably diesel if there isn't a good plug-in hybrid or EV with range extender available by then. Prefer the EV/range extender, and then I'll laugh even harder at your oil threads.
