Getting ready to do my 10K mile OC and wanted to add the drain valve to make things easier in the future.

First OC was done by dealer at 5K miles Synthetic Blend. Not thrilled about that. Full synthetic was available, but cost more. Now going with synthetic only, DIY.

1. Is there a difference between Synthetic and 'Full' Synthetic?
I was thinking of buying Mobil 1.
2. Is the drain plug recessed into the oil pan, thus requiring the adapter for drain valve fitment?
3. Is this the correct adapter for a '24 Ecoboost AWD?
Amazon.com: ADP-137 Adapter for M12-1.75 : Automotive
4. Is this the correct drain valve?
Amazon.com: Original Fumoto F107N with LC-10 lever clip FN-Series Engine Oil Drain Valve, 1 Pack, Golden : Automotive
5. Is Motorcraft FL-910-S the correct oil filter?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

1. You need to look up on Mobil 1 history on Synthetic vs 'Full' Synthetic. But if you are going to buy Mobil 1, try to get the Extended Performance version.
2. Yes, there is a recess in the oil pan, thus you need the adapter. Here is ref with picture for the Fumoto.
3. Both Hybrid and Ecoboost should use the same pan, therefore same adatper/drain bolt.
4. Reference to #2, there are pictures
5. Yes, that would be the filter from Motorcraft.

You didn’t say what year your truck is. My 2025 ecoboost uses a 2127 motorcraft filter. Dealer sold me a 910 which didn’t fit, went back & they didn’t have a 2127 in stock. O’reilly had it. Not sure when it changed

I have both the valve and extender you listed installed on my 2024 FX4 XLT and they work perfectly. I also did the 910-S and Royal Purple Synthetic oil. It has done well and actually increased my mpg by 1.5 per gallon.

The 2025+ Ecoboost changed to the 2127. I think the 2025+ hybrid still uses the 910S like the older Ecoboosts.

Thanks for the heads-up! It’s a 2024. I updated my signature.

I did a 'comparo' with 4 other oil drain valves and ended up liking the Votex the best. It won by a nose. I didn't physically test any of them, just read the reviews and used my judgement. YMMV. EZ, Stahlbus, Fumoto and ValvoMax. When it arrives, I'll do a review and take photos. If there are quality or installation issues, I'll let you know about it. I'm not connected with Votex in any way.

Votex
Materials-stainless steel vs. brass
Design-low profile
Simplicity-no adapter needed
Value-includes hose with fitting
Price-middle of the pack
Origin-made in USA

I sure wish I had known about this mod earlier! So glad for this forum resource!
