Oil Change not updating on App or Car

I recently got an oil change and both the App and Car keep saying I need an oil change. It's been two weeks.
Is there anyway to force it to update?

Whenever the oil is changed you have to reset the Oil Life Monitor. Wherever you brought the truck for the oil change didn't do that so you'll have to do it yourself. You should refer to the owners manual, page 309.

Was it a dealer that changed your oil? If so they should have done that.

Even my local mechanic resets the OLM when he does an oil/filter change for me.

Bring up the OLM on your instrument cluster. It will then tell you how to reset it (by holding down OK button on the steering wheel). :rolleyes:

Do it the old fashioned way.put a sticker on the windshield with the miles to next change .get a loose leaf notebook and write down when you changed it and everything else you do to it.

My Dealer here in Gaylord did not even offer to or inform me that I will have to update the Oil Life Monitor. The oil change person was not in a very good mood by the tone of the voice when they did say something.

I just went through this myself. $100 plus for a full synthetic oil change and they can't even do that for you. I will always do my own, but my daughter can't. So we deal with this BS.

That sucks AND it’s not proper protocol for a damn dealer!!! No excuses! Why can’t the ā€˜Ford bot?’ Do something about this? Cause it’s B.S. Or the people here that work for Ford, let someone know WTF is pissing ā€˜customers’ off! Cause no one gives a sh$@ anymore! Before I retired I used to work in the public sector and no excuse for treating a customer like that even if you’re in a ā€˜grumpy mood’ that day! I would have been canned! Sorry for the Rant, just pisses me off.
