I received an oil change notification at about 2,000 miles. I took it into the dealership and they changed the oil and tagged it as due at 7000 + miles. Recently I keep receiving messages that "Oil Change Required" even though I'm only at 4800 miles. Any way to turn this message off or adjust it to the correct mileage?

So it stayed off after that oil change, but recently came back on?
If so - they correctly reset it.
Was that almost a year ago?

Have you gone into the display that shows what the actual OLR% is?
Shows it in Fordpass app too, Service tab.

May have a bit more time.
But you must be driving it hard if it's showing up that quickly.
Towing or heavy weight in bed? Long idle times? Not AZ or AK temps, so not that.

Or there really is a malfunction with that system you should get handled under warranty - if your driving is really non-extreme.

It sounds like the dealer did not reset the oil life monitor.

I received the oil change notification at 3,000 miles. It was exactly 12 months after the last oil change. Seems like there is a timer on the notification in addition to mileage.

The oil change indicator is using the computer and is based on driving habits and time. That said, 5,000 is pretty standard.

The monitor looks at mileage as well as time, at 1 year it requires a change. There is probably something in the warranty that states oil must be changed at 1 year or XXXX miles.
