Mexico plant Maverick production suspended next week from November 1-5

Got my fingers crossed. tracking not working this morning so called ford and still the same. as of 10/21 in body shop/sealer with a delivery date of 11/14

Awesome! Now I still have hope....there's no movement on mine, still same 10/22 sticker. No modules active yet either. At this point I'm almost hoping they didn't start it yet or they can finish it before the shutdown. Certainly don't want a half-built with missed steps due to breakup in the flow.

2nd date Nov 1

One of the reasons for the shutdown may be that there are 2 semi holidays - Day of the dead and All saints day.
A lot of workers will be off or hung over.....

Hermasilo plant closing November 1-5. Union wages cut 25%. Issue parts shortage. This is scary stuff since most of U S plants are closed indefinitely.

I was in the same boat and decided to buy a cheap mini cooper in the mean time

Good choice. I'm driving my 4th Mini Cooper (in a row). It does the job well, with some fun thrown in. It's gonna be funny having a little red standard Mini and a big red automatic Maverick.

Living in Michigan you should probably hope it doesn't get built until late spring. Otherwise, salt will not be kind to your new arrival. I use to live there(SW Michigan) for the first 37 years of my life.

Also think of how much lower your monthly car payment will be.

This IS concerning! Wage cuts, when U.S. employers are begging for workers and offering signing bonuses? Guess where the anger and disappointment of disgruntled workers will manifest? What is Ford thinking?
