I 2nd the motion. There's some actual engineering behind the owners manual.I get people are suspicious of manufacturers but I read so many articles that suggest ignoring the manufacturers recommendations. it's like, don't use this oil you should use this kind, change your transmission fluid at 20,000 rather than 100,000, change your oil every 3,000 mi rather than 5 or 10. Every vehicle I've owned I've done the manufacturers recommendations and I had one gasket or something like that on a transmission go which was fixed under warranty. But other than that issue I've had no engine nor transmission issues.
I'm just in a grumpy mood so just ignore me.
