Picked up on Saturday, still blown away with how good it looks for a $20k base model, even has 22% privacy tints at rear. Ordered bed liner and weathertech mats.
Finally, my unicorn truck arrived last Saturday. The dealer (Five Star Ford, NRH in DFW) honored the MSRP and helped to get the private offer, x-plan discounts. They made it a quick, pleasure buying process. In and out less than 2 hrs.
Try the Hybrid in sports mode, power is a loy better.I got a $2750 rebate which put the MSRP a bit lower than it would've been if they had gotten my maverick built in 22 like I expected. The offer for my Santa Cruz was within several hundred of what I paid for it. I was really torn, because I did like my SC, it really is a nicer vehicle, the interior and things you touch like door handles, tailgate handle, hood, etc absolutely spank the maverick in terms of quality. It's not even close.
The ride between the 2 is near identical, even my wife said the same. The maverick is significantly louder at 55 than the SC, but the visibility in the maverick is much better. The mavericks bed is much bigger too (I REALLY WISH I had thought of taking a pic of the backs with the tailgate's down.)
My SC had the base engine, I wouldn't say it was underpowered, but it definitely wasn't powerful. Neither is the maverick hybrid, but it does feel like it has more torque pulling away from lights, up hills, etc. It feels much more responsive in reverse too, my SC always seemed sluggish and unresponsive in reverse. I'm perfectly satisfied with either ones power.
There's probably a few more things I could mention, but I've only had the maverick for a day, and I really haven't had time to check out all the settings and things. I'll be looking at everything in it on Tuesday when I have time.
I'm happy to see some of my fellow long suffering October orderers getting their trucks! I know there's probably a board here for this, but here's my first mpg result from my drive home from work

I'm loving my truck! I've had it about a month now and it's absolutely incredible the mileage I'm getting. This is what I got driving home from work today. About 8 miles of this is highway driving at 60 mph.

Well 509 days later and I finally have my truck in hand. I have been working with my dealer to get my private offer for the last month and still no luck. I will never buy a car from them again. They basically told me that I can take the truck and hope for a rebate check from ford or walk away and they will sell it for $7500 over. According to my sales person they have had several people walk away. Hoping to call ford marketing tomorrow.

Is this a My23 thing or trim level has my fuel guel is just a series of dash lights. Like these gauges better. It's about 75 mile for every dash light.I'm happy to see some of my fellow long suffering October orderers getting their trucks! Just had a thought that perhaps it is a screen display size thing as not enough room for those gauges,

Mines a 23 XL, I'm not sure if anything's different from 22 though, I imagine not. Yeah, I wouldn't like a digital gas gauge, but I'd probably get used to it like I am with the shifter.

My 10/14/21 order showed up 2/22/23 as a MY 23. I picked it up on the 24th. Shopping around prices to get rid of it now. Such a sad situation and looking at recent threads @Ford Motor Company is still screwing with people.
