Stopped by my dealership just for grins since it's so close to my house to ask my salesman why my hybrid has been sitting at Wayne assembly for the past 11 days and counting.

He looked it up in the system and confirmed it's at Wayne assembly (MI) and ready to be shipped. Now here is the kicker, he doesn't know why it's not being shipped but he did see the ETA on the delivery will now be between Nov 26 - Dec 2. The frustrating part is not knowing why is it just sitting there.

At this point I kind of wish it I would have been delayed and built as a 2023. It would be nice if we knew why it's just sitting at Wayne assembly. Oh well, like I said before, it is what it is.
I'd trade you knowing you have one built and just ready to be shipped over the limbo I'm in.

Oh no. You are much better off having it built. I'm a 22 order that had a vin and now I have to pray that my dealer and Ford can get my order rolled over without screwing it up. My anxiety is through the roof

I made it to the year club as well. Ordered October 29, 2021 and just found out that my VIN, which was scheduled a numerous of time, has now been canceled and now am waiting for this roll over situation.

Received some surprising yet great news.
My truck was delivered to the dealership Monday. Last Friday customer service told be the truck was in Nogales. But I'm not complaining.
I picked it up last night and my sales guy told me it was unexpected, they knew they were getting a delivery but didn't know my Mav was on it.
I'm 100% happy with the truck, I was worried being a 6'5 heavyweight if I would fit and be comfortable. The truck is surprisingly roomy and comfortable. After 100 miles I'm at 38mpg with mostly highway driving.
Maybe after a few thousand miles I will find something to nit pick but right now this truck checks all the boxes.

My dealer has given up trying to give me solid information regarding my order. His last two messages:

Before receiving cancellation transition memo: "So we are waiting on Ford to give us some clarity on the maverick issue ….. I am not sure Ford really knows what is going on at this point…."
After receiving cancellation transition memo: "We are still trying to unpack what Ford has sent us regarding Maverick transition procedure".

And I went with this dealer initially because he seemed most realistic about long wait times (original estimate was 4 - 5 months). This whole situation seems so disorganized and haphazard.

My original order dealer has not contacted me other than once to say my salesman had changed. This is the dealer that waited 4 weeks to put my order into WEBDO so hence why it got a VIN late then was moved to December for rollovers. No way they would let me give this to someone else at MSRP, 100% would be getting ADM. 99% sure they were going to add some BS "value package" for $1,500 too

I don't think they will get this right, and I had previously considered changing to match my current build minus sun roof, and using the private offer to trade in and lower my current payment, but after looking at the numbers and what I lose, I am not so sure.

$34,450 MSRP on a '23. Minus $2750 Private Offer is $31,700. This is a $340 increase from my MSRP for the '22 as ordered. If I kept the moonroof it would wipe out those savings.

I lose on sun roof, remote start, cargo management, and Ford switched to the vinyl steering wheel over the leather. APR will probably be 2% higher, so looking at another 1K + in interest.

Since the second scumbag dealer didn't do price protection, I paid 34,120 MSRP on my current truck, and about another $500 in taxes and fees after trade in.

To go through the dealer headache, they would have to offer me a ton more. Carmigo is estimating $28,600 to $36,200 on a private sale, and they have always been higher than Carvana or anywhere else. So wouldn't even cover the taxes.

So I think at this point, I don't say a word to the dealer, and let them screw up the roll over process, so they don't get a unit to mark up. Can't give the order to someone else, can't turn it into more equity unless the Hybrid market goes nuts between now and when it is made.

Makes me even madder the one that I got the dealer screwed me on price protection.

Positive new is looks like the market is pulling back even on Hybrids, so maybe some of you can have luck snagging one on lot at MSRP.

Fyi my dealer called me yesterday and told me for the forced conversions to 2023 that they were tasked to check for duplicate order numbers with intent of ford having the 99 priority orders to them by 7 nov. Thereafter they could complete the new/converted 2023 order with their holders and the dealers regional chain could resubmit as priority 02. Might be a chance to readd removed options on the 2022 order without impact to 02 priority. More to follow...

My Maverick showing "built" on 8/31 does not have a credit listed on the sticker window for the Hotspot Wi-Fi.

Still wondering if....

.... if it be on mine or not❓
Follow-up
My Maverick built on 8/22 did have the 4G hotspot installed.

Take it from me. It's better to be waiting on a built truck than being transferred from 1 line you've already waited in for over 1 year to another line to continue the wait for a truck to be built.
