The perfect place for a CB antenna is on the roof. Creates a more circular Ground Plane. Most of my CB's had a 4' whip in the center of the roof
Not only do they rot after a few years in Florida, it is a lousy location if you want to use the roof!.Having the antenna on the roof?
I've seen a few people respond negatively to it. What's the deal?
No clue. I’m not against an antenna, but a lot of youtubers act like it is old design and makes the car look like a remote control toy.Having the antenna on the roof?

Some of us Ham radio operators put their antennas on the roof in addition to the one that is already there. Some of us put 3 or 4 more, depending on bands we operate on. We recognize each other that way when we see a vehicle with lots of antennas. The only exception is when there are blue lights along with the antennas. We keep our distance to them.No clue. The Maverick’s short rubber antenna is way more modern than the long metal one that is still on Ram 1500 tradesman edition trucks.
A bit snobby to look down on cars with antennas, in my opinion.
I don't know. As a Amateur Radio operator who thinks nothing of talking to Japan on my radio in my truck, I keep my antennas just under 14 feet so I don't hit over passes..Having the antenna on the roof?

No....they don't want something on the hood....they just want a "bit" shorter antenna where this one already is. Therefore.....the perfect replacement is the "Stubby"....which I got after seeing it on this site. Reception is no better.....but I find it is no worse either. Just "Looks" better than the stock one. That was my next question, what do they want instead. IMO, it's better than something on the hood
Royce CB Radio, yep but I had the dual antennas on each side near the driver and passenger doors.Anyone mount a 8’ whip antenna on the rear bumper with a tennis ball near the top for their CB Radio?
Now that’s cool good buddy, pedal to the metal like I have wings little gravels in my wheels going ting ting tingRoyce CB Radio, yep but I had the dual antennas on each side near the driver and passenger doors.
