Not so fun post from me today - Tejas vs Tesla

I’ll spare you all the details, but basically someone in a Tesla thought they’d sneak by me while I was already 3/4 the way through an intersection. My question, does the XLT have any sensors in the front bumper I should worry about? I don’t have 360 on this car, I buffed out most of the damage, still have some dings. Let me know if you guys think I should worry about anything. Impact was minimal, ripped my plate cover off… Any guidance is appreciated thx!

Looks like you did a pretty good job buffing it out. Happy to read it wasn't worse. Hopefully nobody got hurt, because I'm sure there was some heavy braking (whiplash)

Call one of your local "bumper repair" guys. I've had this done on my cars and they do good work at a quarter of the price.

I'm surprised the AEB system didn't engage or at least do the loud alarm with the flashing Infotainment screen deal.

The AEB system alert has gone off a few times on my Mav when people have cut in front of me.

Mine only goes off if I’m coming around a bend at a good speed. Bummed it didn’t engage this time…

Bummer! Don't turn in to insurance company,they will probably total it

For future reference, the auto cruise is in the grill. Even the Lariat Maverick doesn't have front sensors, only rear.

Glad the damage was minimal.

There is an ambient air temperature sensor in the grille. But it's probably still working. You and the truck would have noticed if it wasn't.

Thank you all for chiming in. Does anyone know if the automatic collision braking was supposed to kick in? I don’t have 360, but my mav beeps and alerts me when I’m on a windy turn at good speed. Do I have this feature? Should it have kicked in? Impact was at less than 10mph
