Excuse my ignorance, but what is a meter menu?
These are the functions that are displayed & controlled on the screen above your steering wheel, some OEM's call it the "combi-meter". There is some redundancy with the center screen, but also some exclusive operations, that must be done there.

I’m one of those drivers who goes 3 mph over the speed limit and leaves at least 3 car distances between me and the car in front. Still, I was beginning to think that the pre-collision assistance feature on my 25 XLT was faulty, until today.

Traffic was flowing nicely on the four lane highway until some knucklehead a few cars ahead decided to do a full stop for no apparent reason. The pre-collision assistance feature and I came to the same conclusion to hit the brakes at roughly the same time. The system definitely aided in the braking. If I hadn’t been paying attention, it probably would have stopped the truck in time on its own.

Just thought I’d share my experience. I still have no idea why that driver decided to stop. Traffic was fine before and after that incident.
