Not seeing Mavericks in the wild... why not? How about your community?

Today our little home town 4th of July - Independence Day parade had a Lariat Area 51 pulling a happy and giddy load of kiddos right down main street.... Very cool to see the kids getting into the spirit pulled by a Maverick.

So we live in a mid sized city in a populous state with 5 Ford dealers within 30 miles of each other but I have only seen 7 actual rigs and only at the dealers.
Today I spotted this fresh off the truck Hybrid Lariat at a dealer awaiting its prep time... first eyes on a Lariat and hybrid for me personally. Never have seen a truck out on the road. I have seen and touched an XL, XLT, AWD and now this white Lariat. Like I said 7 total in the mix.
I am a car/truck guy and can spot vehicles way off........ just not seeing many yet. I know they are being built and sold but it’s odd for me not to see someone out showing their new truck off
I feel deprived...., yet hopeful when deliveries ramp up.

Looks exactly like mine and you know once you get a vehicle you acutely notice how many other folk have the same vehicle. Not so much here but I'm seeing a few more each month but could count them on one hand. Not a prevalent vehicle by any stretch at this point

Personally, I wouldn't want people to notice my truck. Draws too much attention and who knows what they'd do to my truck when I'm not around. It's best not to be noticed.

Live in the Des Moines Iowa Area. Have seen one MAVERICK in a dealer showroom about 3 months ago. Have never seen another on the road or anywhere else.

I live in north central Iowa in order for me to find one on a dealer lot back in October I had to go to MSP area to see one. Then in November I was a at a dealers in Ames and a sales rep owned one and got to see more of it. As for running around seen one that I can remember. In January and February I seen one go past my small town a time going to another small town. I might have seen it at Walmart once. My friends and uncle keep saying they see them around.

Since I received my Maverick I have seen two others in 2.5 months. The second one was just a couple days ago at Corner Cafe in Liberty/Kansas City. Maybe he/she is on the forum.

Haven't seen another maverick in a while. My count is up to 5.

However I did see my second Santa Cruz. And gotta say I have no idea how those are popular. They look like a car with a deformed and missing trunk.

One on Waterloo Rd (white) heading into Hackettstown.

One pulling onto Mt Ave in Bound Brook and one coming up 206 north in Bedminster

Passed a Velocity Blue on the way to Lowes Friday and we gave the I got mine wave.

That's a good point. What is our acknowledgement to fellow Maverick owners? MG's had a light flash. Maybe a piece sign. The wave seems so mundane.

Took a 770 mile trip to Prescott, AZ. and saw not one Maverick. I wasn't driving mine, but wore my Maverick hat in case one was spotted on the road. Thought for sure I'd see at least one.

Two have recently shown up in my neighborhood, a Velocity Blue and Area 51. Also saw a HPR Lariat a couple weeks back at the Farmers Market in Olympia. That's the first HPR I have seen besides my own. I keep trying to catch up to the two in my area but they drive too fast for me to catch!

What a great city - Prescott Az. I have a buddy originally from Ohio that recently retired there in Prescott and he enjoys learning about geology from a stellar Geologist at the local community college that has made his retirement very special. She apparently is from Ohio also, so they both commiserate about the Ohio snow etc.

As far as a Maverick connection....we are both still awaiting our AWD Maverick orders.... but he is leaning toward dumping Ford and going Hyundai SC. I told him to talk about Geology with his lovely instructor and hold out for the Maverick........I’m trying to distract him with the intellect and warmth of the Geologist!

He wants to go “ rock hounding” in the AWD Maverick......now if I only knew her name at the junior college. Hang in there buddy. Hold out for your Ford, besides the Geologist is probably married anyway!
