Temps dropped here in TN over the past few days and I noticed I have this dreaded windshield “ticking” noise. Never heard it until temps dropped. Has anyone had any luck with dealer replacing windshield due to this noise?

If it is similar to the rattle mine had when I bought it, it was only fixed after my Windshield was replaced by Safelite due to a crack from a rock. $100 Insurance deductible and no time spent at the dealer without a vehicle as others have experienced, so I considered myself lucky.

Seems to be poor/inadequate sealing to the frame from the factory.

I had this fixed today at my dealer . It’s the windshield installation pucks he called them . When the body flexes the pucks rub the windshield . They had to remove pillar trim and headliner and remove the pucks. I assume they are alignment pegs of some sort for the machine to line up windshield when installing. Drove it home and no more creaking ( which I thought was dash ). I’m very happy with my maverick again it was driving me nuts . I came from Honda and Toyota products so I guess I’m picky but a new truck shouldn’t creak that bad and loud .

When I take mine in for my first service I'm going to ask them to take a look at this for me.
