They always let me know it’s full synthetic here at Chalmers Ford.

I make sure I tell the dealership to use full synthetic since the work order always says blend. It drives me nuts!!! I reconfirm at pick-up via the oil part number (which is always listed) on the service work order which matches up to the full synthetic product by Ford.

I have had my oil changed 3 times by the local ford dealer and just found out they have putting sythentic blend oil in my 2024 Hybrid. They never mentioned the option to put Full sythetic in it. I assumed that since they are a Ford dealer would know that the Hybrid required full synthetic. I think I should complain to Ford about the dealer and does amyone think they have damaged my engine? I have 20700 miles on the truck now.
Probably in a footnote that was missed in order to get the deal you are getting.

Go to a 5 minute lube place - they also have the means of seeing what goes in the truck by spec - guess what you'll get for the 49.99 special if nothing is said.

It won't hurt anything other than you may sacrifice a smidge on your fuel economy - I actually put the semi in on first oil change and noticed my fuel economy dropped more than I thought it would, so switched back to 0W20 full synthetic and there were no issues, everything went back to 'normal'...Not a deal breaker, but shame on them for at least not ASKING which you wanted...

My small local dealer, for whom I have no love, does say "synthetic blend" when it advertises it's oil changes.

Even if I request full syn, I don't trust the tech to read the work order or care. Worse, they put the oil pan plug back before the pan is fully drained of the old oil. They don't prime the new filter with fresh oil.

That is why I purchase my Mobil-1 full syn at Walmart and use a 910S Motorcraft filter and just do it myself; 2024 hybrid.

The time consuming part is pouring the drained oil through a funnel back into the empty Mobil-1 jug, wiping the drain pan and cleanup in general. There is an auto parts store that accepts the old oil. Thankfully I only change oil 2X a year. I got rid of my 3rd car so only do this on two vehicles.

What's written has been claimed before in posts as being wrong by the service manager after the fact.

At that point - you are still left guessing - which thing was done wrong?

Tech read the work order for the special deal oil change, but correctly read the filler cap or knew already, and put the right stuff in, and failed to correct the work order with other part numbers, or incorrectly put the wrong part numbers down?

Or

Tech read the work order and used what it said, and logged the correct part numbers used?

I would mention something and get it on record. Maybe you'll get a comp for a free oil change if you push it.

I’d be a bit pissed if they did that to my Ecoboost, Turbo and all that.
But on the Mavbrid with its non turbo mil,
You can Fagetaboutit.
As long as they only charged you for the blend.

Piss and moan a little at them and I’d bet you a six pack you get a free oil change on your next scheduled service.
