In a moment of being impatient, I called my dealer and had him switch from the hybrid to the Eco AWD. I had always been on the fence about which one of these I wanted, and figured going to the Eco, I might get my vehicle quicker. When he tried switching, it let him add the Eco but not the AWD, and would not let him switch back to the hybrid. So now I have a build I don't really want. :(
Ford stopped taking Ecoboost orders last week. You switching from hybrid to Ecoboost probably wouldn't fly since it would be considered a new order.

I also tried to add AWD onto my FWD EB order on Monday and the dealer informed me the system didn't have the AWD available. I'm in California, so AWD wasn't really required just a want :)

My understanding is it was not considered a new order since I did not switch trim levels.

So good news, my dealer just called me and told me the Ford rep was able to change it back to a hybrid, but there was no way he could get me the AWD.

Sorry you got schedule changes. I ordered mine beginning of Oct and still no build date due to the dealer still having Mav's in line ahead of me. EB 4K XLT in Area 51
Well I do have a window sticker, that's something I guess. I hope you get yours soon brother!

Tim Bartz said on his Live Stream Tuesday that you shouldn't change Engines, Trims or anything big on your orders, Ford isn't wanting to change things like that since they have shut down orders and know how many of what Engines, Trims and such they now have to build. But then I guess you did do it on Monday and his Live Stream was Tuesday so you may not have known. That does suck.

I have a Bronco which is stuck in what is now known as "Ice Mountain" - a dirt field holding pen where incomplete built vehicles go to jail for a long time - 5 miles from the MAP plant.

I started to lose my mind. Found an Escape PHEV I am closing on and picking up next week to take the place of the Bronco.

Will decide on the Mav whenever it shows up sometime down the line.
Tim aka FordVideoGuy mentioned last night about a vehicle sitting for months in the waiting area, and all it needed was a jump start. Call your dealer to call his rep and find out if they are ignoring it, to get to others built!

Please keep doing it though. We patient few will benefit from it.
They said it didn't cost me anything and I didn't lose my place in line.

Yeah at about the hour and ten minute mark I ask him if I can change to AWD and he says yes but then he tries it and it does not let him, so he seemed a little surprised by that. Luckily my dealer was able to change it back to hybrid.

Sounds to me like your dealer stole your original order for himself.

He tried making the change on Monday. When I talked to him, I told him I did not want to make the change if it was risky or would screw anything up. He assured me it was not risky and was a simple change. He is now calling the Area Ford Rep to see if he can help. I'll let him know about the Friday changes.
is your dealer local? If so, I would make changes in person only so you can keep them honest. If you are just calling, emailing, texting they can tell you anything they want. Seeing is believing...
