You might be surprised at how significant 40 miles is. I have a PHEV Chrysler pacifica with only a 31 mile range. For my daily commute that is enough to keep me in electric mode 5-6 days a week. The only time the gas engine is used is for longer out of the ordinary trips. Obviously everyone's...
It is a variation of an age old problem on Internet forums. You ask a question people don't simply answer. Then they have all kinds of excuses for why your question is invalid: your assumptions are wrong, answering your question won't provide what you need, you question is not interesting...
My first car was a 1965 Ford Econoline with 3 on the tree. There were a couple of times when I ran out of gas and used the electric starter to get to the side of the road and out of traffic. I called it my hybrid car.

Have you test driven a newer Ranger? I don't see why anyone orders a Maverick EB over a Ranger. If you are getting close to 40k, a Ranger is going to be a better truck anyway.
I ordered a barebones 2023 Maverick XL. I assumed that would give me the best odds of getting it built. Now that I have researched more, it sounds like the XLT is better odds. Is that true? Would changing my order to an XLT improve chances of getting to production sooner?
This makes me feel better about ordering a barebones XL. Ford is going to prioritize trucks that they have the supplies for so that they can get some revenue.
i have never ridden them but do see them around town. I peek in the windows when parked at the store. My only concern with no test drive is how much room is the back seat for the family. It wont be the primary family car but hopefully can fit 5 in a pinch.
