No, around here I'm fine with using A/T oversized tires in snow and ice on front wheel drive for safety and better traction and switching back to a street tire in April. I drive 40k miles per year, many of those in ice and snow, and safety is paramount. Not saying your tires won't work, but these are much better rated and have better tread for our winters in Washington State.

I used a universal rack from Amazon and it fit perfectly. I love it, it handles my 24 and 28 foot extension ladders when I need them.

Here's the link: IRONWALLS Universal Roof Rack Crossbars, 2pcs 48" Aluminum Car Rooftop Cross Bars Set with 3PCS Mounting Clamps Fits for Most Vehicle Car Without Roof Side Rail, 68KG/150LBS Load Capacity https://a.co/d/d4LIUUO
This rack seems like a good solution, as a great price.. I wonder if you can send me some comments about the danger to scratch the roof paint with this rack ??
Many thanks for your help.

Last piece of the upgrades was finally installed: Fuel milled gloss Maverick wheels with Fuel Gripper A/T tires. I just turned over 10,000 miles and haven't reset the MPG guage since I drove it off the lot with 11 miles on it....its sitting right at 44.0 mpg overall after 10k miles. I have a low pro tonneau bed cover and ladder racks I installed last week. It's the perfect truck for my pest control company. I'm loving the look of these wheels and tires on it! 🤘😎

Good job man. you took a plain XL and made it look great. Im normally not a fan of black rims but those look very good. I will be doing same if my Mav ever gets here.

These wheels/tires look excellent. The best "truck" set up Ive seen yet on this forum. I didn't want to spend quite that much on wheels, and would use a smaller tire. But this look is hard to beat.

Forgot to mention, I replaced the steering wheel with a 2020 Ford Escape steering wheel with leather. This enables cruise control on the XL which doesn't come standard, plus the leather steering wheel is way more comfortable. Only a $160 upgrade.

Looks terrific. I may have to get that roof rack, too, for my kayaks. Thanks for sharing all the pics and info.

You answered my question as to where and how much you paid for your roof racks, they will work perfectly for my Surfboards 🏄‍♂️

I didn't even look to see which labeled one. I just measured the bracket so that the base of the rack is sitting in that groove on the roof. I believe they were the smallest brackets. I don't have the old brackets or manual, but I'm pretty sure they were the smallest ones.
