Every ford update Ive tried has been such a pita I just give up on them. Forcing you to keep you vehicle running for an hour in the driveway is just stupid.

The vehicle has to be running to perform the update? I hope this isn't true.Every ford update Ive tried has been such a pita I just give up on them. Forcing you to keep you vehicle running for an hour in the driveway is just stupid.
it is. If you have key in accessory position and it times out before the update finishes you have to start all overThe vehicle has to be running to perform the update? I hope this isn't true.

You have a hybrid so no big deal. Just turn off your hvac stuff and your ICE won't even turn on! Mine took about an hour and ICE never turned on!That sucks, thanks for the warning.

I am wondering if you need this TSB, like I do:I updated mine last week. I still had a random signal loss today. Also, I believe the volume isn't as loud as it used to be. Anyone else notice this?
Thanks for the info. I wasn't using BT when I've experienced issues. It's always been regular FM. My truck was built in Nov, 22.I am wondering if you need this TSB, like I do:
TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN
Not Equipped With SYNC - Bluetooth/Applink/CarPlay/Android Auto/Media Player And/Or Customer Connectivity Settings Concerns
There are some people on this forum who have said that they have had no problems with recent updates but, if your vehicle was built before August 24, 2022, it likely needs this ACM update in addition to work properly.
As far as volume goes, I swore I saw somewhere in the settings on the truck screen that you can adjust the default volume of bluetooth devices (if that is what you are referring to).
This is my problem - 1.8 and stuck there on 0% - so annoying and I just gave up. I will try the master reset, I haven't tried that. Thanks for this post bud.The update worked finally after a month of trying, I did a master reset and immediately checked for an update before connecting to ford pass, the first search always fails to find anything and the second usually finds one and stays at zero. This time the first failed and the second started right away took about 20 min, my radio is performing way better and I also noticed the chime changed when putting it into park! I also had to do a soft reset before it would go thru fully! This was all done on a hotspot thru my phone.
