I just did a software update but not sure what updated. It now reads as G2.0.0.1_R22285A. Any idea what updated?

Thank you.... I hobbled it together myself. I bought a cheap "useless switch" from Amazon, took it apart and made it useful.

I would "assume" the Radio/Sync system but could be wrong.
The Sync in my Escape updated last week and it finally shows Android Auto turn-by-turn directions on the information display. But I'm not sure what else changed.

New update seems to be made the head unit faster, less waiting between switching menus. No glitches so far with the backup camera.
Android Auto also works more reliably, less unplugging, remove device, and soft reset. Only been a week, so we shall see.
Hasn't fixed the brightness issue with the display, doesn't do anything pass the middle mark if the dash brightness is set to minimum or maximum.

Funny you said that. This afternoon when I plugged in my phone, Android Auto said it couldn't connect. Said to try a different input or different cable. I tried both, no joy. I rebooted the radio and then it accepted the phone. Maybe it wasn't set up completely after the update. Seemed to work fine since I did that.

First time plugging it in after the update, it required me to to setup Android Auto on the head unit. No other problems as of yet.
Prior, it was a pain to get Android Auto to work 100%, 75-80% of the time it would work. The remaining 20% was unplug, repair, restarting the head unit, etc.
We had to do a master reset to get things working properly after update. Old version never updated, usb stick was not working, after reset all good...................................
