I ordered my XLT Maverick with the Luxury package over a year ago. I finally received my truck on Monday 9/25/23. When I looked over the truck I noticed the Hard drop in bed liner which is included in the Luxury Package was not there. I asked my sales associate about it and he talked to a "Manager" that said it is not included but it is very clearly on the Ford Price and Build webpage under the XLT luxury package option. Yesterday I emailed the dealer and pointed out the webpage reference, no response. Today I decided to call Ford customer relations. After being bounced back and forth between Customer service and Marketing ( 6 times) and disconnected once I was finally given a Case Number. Now I'm curious to see if I'll get any response. Maybe next I'll call the dealers ( Olathe Ford, Olathe Kansas) General Manager and point out the webpage to him. I just spent over $30K and I expect to get what I paid for.
Has anyone else had issues like this and was it resolved to your satisfaction?

Thanks
Pete
Bedliner, bed rails, remote start were removed from the luxury package for 2023 model year. The Bedliner is back for 2024 model which is why you are seeing it on the build and price. Your price is lower because of it though.

I have the original printout from the Ford website that I took to the dealer in September of 22 and told him this is what I want. It was on that printout but I did not get what I asked for which is what I have discussed. Ford did change it and it probably wasn't on the order sheet but none of that was shared with me until the truck showed up.

That is probably true. The problem is, you brought in a 2022 Mav build sheet and said that is what you wanted. The 23 build and price wasn't active at that time, so that's all that you could have done.

The 23 Lux package dropped the bedliner. The 22 XLT Lux pkg originally included SIBL. Because of shortages, this was changed to DIBL at some point in the build-cycle.
The build and price was not updated on Ford's website in time, but the order guides were out. The dealers had them. And they were posted online. The information that there was no bedliner included in Lux pkg when you ordered was out there. Obviously, there was a lack of communication btw you and the dealer about this fact.

Latest price list shows 23 Lux Pkg MSRP to be 1,730. It was $2,500 for 22 Mav (my early 22 build was $2,345). So you aren't missing anything that you paid for. Miscommunication meant that the additional bedliner option wasn't ordered with your truck from the factory. Neither the dealership or Ford owe you a free bedliner. You can still add a bedliner now. If you ask nicely, maybe the dealership will give you a deal on one due to the misunderstanding.

All I'm saying is that Ford built it correctly. Your dealer should have told you when they placed the 2023 order about the changes to the Luxury Package so you could make sure to add the Bedliner, Bed Rails, Remote Start. That is what we did when going over our carryover orders.

When the 2023 order bank opened back in September 2022, the Ford website was still showing the 2022 Maverick information.

Since you did not pay for or get charged for a DIBL there isn't anything that the dealer or Ford needs to do.

If you had a print out of what you wanted and gave that to the dealer then it was on them to let you know about the changes and to add the SIBL/DIBL stand alone option when placing the 2023 order.

Speak to the dealership management and tell them that they should have communicated the changes to you and perhaps they might be willing to work with you on getting what you wanted.

For example if you want the DIBL then order it through the dealership parts department and ask if they would install it free for you. Right now Ford is giving 15% off parts and I'm pretty sure the dealership parts department would match that offer.

All 2023 orders had to be COVP'd so they must have given you a print out of your 2023 order to sign, which was uploaded to Ford along with your driver license to get approved.
