New Maverick recall?

Has anyone heard about this new Maverick recall? It has to do with the dash breaking into shards of plastic during an accident and when air bags deploy.
It's supposed to apply to SOME 2025 & 2026 Mavericks.
I checked with NHTSA using my VIN number but no new recalls came up.

That’s probably the least surprising recall of the Maverick. Everyone knows the interior plastic is total ass.

Good to hear! I find it interesting that while they were still building 2025's, they put some 2026's down the line on August 20th.

Let me ask this...If it's showing up on my Ford App, does that mean I'm affected? Because my build date was July 31, 2025 and the recall shows August 7th - Sept 5th.

Interesting...
The recall does state, the possible vehicles affected is 1%...
6897 (1%) = 69 trucks...
This is little comfort, if YOURS is one of the 69..

Mine was built on July, 2025. So far, no recalls for my XLT Hybrid.

Mine is August 27th build but nothing shows up on the app nor in the mail as of yet.

I originally had an agreement to buy an XLT that had this recall on it. Needing a vehicle sooner and doubts about the "tear the dash apart" fix led me to move forward with the other XLT on the lot, which is why I have blue instead of green.
