cbcarguy, I bought my 26' XLT 2.0L EcoBoost a month ago and I had same low washer light come on a week later. I filled up the reservoir with about 1/2 gallon of new quality grade all-season washer fluid and I haven't had the light come on since.
I've noticed the reservoir tank has some irregular proportions, so even after filling to half up the reservoir tube the level went back down again. I discovered the new fluid continued to slowly fill the empty top cavities of the reservoir.

Maybe it wasnt filled from the factory? Did you actually check to see if it was low?
Regardless, if the factory failed to fill the reservoir.
It is the responsibility of the dealership to fill the windshield washer reservoir per their pre-delivery checklist shown in post #2.

The OP could have a malfunctioning sending unit or a leak.
Either case the truck should end up back at the dealership. For repair/replacement or informing them that they're pre-delivery service person isn't doing their job.

Chris, welcome to the MTC! Thanks for sharing the nice photo of your new truck. We all like to see photos. I hope you resolve the windshield wiper fluid low level issue. I would think the dealer can easily address this being a new truck. Let us know what the outcome is.

Hello everyone!!! Just wanted to introduce myself.

just picked up a 2026 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT in azure grey, traded in my bronco big bend for it and I already enjoy it so much more then my bronco.

amazing little truck with great MPG

now this afternoon I was driving and noticed my windshield wiper fluid light came on saying it was low.

bought the truck on Wednesday with 21 miles on it and it now has 190 miles so I’m wondering why it would be out already????

beside that I have no complaints

I had the same thing happen on my 23 lariat hybrid on the day I bought it. It fixed itself and hasn't happened since.

could be a crack in it and it all leaked out. Fill it up and take a look underneath

While it hasn't happened on my '23 Mav Lariat, I had a '74 Toyota Corona SR sport coupe that also had an Electro Sensor Panel (ESP) overhead checking 11 items:
  • Fluid Levels: Radiator coolant, engine oil, brake fluid, battery water, and windshield washer fluid.
  • Exterior Bulbs: Headlights, tail lights, stop/brake lights, and license plate lights.
  • Safety/Brakes: Brake pad wear and brake vacuum booster pressure loss
Way ahead of its time!

I have had 3 Mavericks and all 3 including my new Lobo 1200 miles has had the same problem, the tank is full.
The light comes and goes, I ignore it now, of course it never comes on when in service. To get to that tank is not a simple job, access is from the fender liner, so wheel and liner have to come off, someone said the sensor is in the tank, so the tank has to be replaced? If it is a software problem replacing the tank/sensor won't help, so I live with it, or hope it comes on when in the shop because they won't help you unless the light is on and tank is full.

Mine was not quite half full when I took possession.
Saleman saw me checking my fluids and filled it for me.
