Anyway...Why are you folks complaining about "BlacK"...
When Most of the Mavericks ordered by folks here on this Forum, are BAP's... (Black Appearance Package). So, there is NO Chrome to speak of..

This is the Ford logo I grew up with on my dad's 1951 sedan with the Cruise-O-Matic three speed transmission

Out of all the various Ford logos through the years that was my least favorite.

I was over to a local Ford dealer today and all the new Mavs and Fords have the new big black and white flat oval badges. Only thing I've seen worse is GM's new Buick badge. Any other nominees for the Bone-Head Re-design award?

I understand and agree changing the color scheme on something so iconic is jarring, but it goes so much better with my Velocity Blue BAP Mav!

AFAIK only Mav's with the BAP are black, everyone else gets blue.

That's what I thought too. But the OP says nothing about the BAP.

I put a king ranch logo on one side and a platinum edition logo on the other side in the last year, I’ve had three other maverick owners asked me when they came out with the king ranch model. lol. Logo fun. I also added three other hybrid placards to the vehicle to let people know who really cares.?

My buddy ordered black emblems from factory on his ordered ChevyTraverse 4 years ago; I think it cost $50 extra, but looks better.
