Neutral tow mode - HELP!

I have diodes directly wired inside the tail lights from the 6-pin connector). NO problems. I also use a simple old BrakeBuddy for supplemental braking.

2622 miles towed over a 2+ week period. I have a Lariat with push-button start. Every time I have heard of someone having a neutral tow problem, it has been on an XLT so far. Easy to get the key sequence incorrect, not so easy to mess up the Lariat.

Did you use a brake light relay and if not is there a problem when using the brake buddy with the turn signals?

If you did use a brake light relay, is that a problem when it's engaged putting the unit into neutral tow?

No relay, no issues in over 6000 miles towing now.

And the turn signals work if the brake buddy is activated?
I'm not quite sure. Are you using the brake relay or not?

lol, this reminds me of one of my first stops for gas with the new '25. First time my wife is driving since she needed to borrow it the next day, but I had the credit card, plus we're still figuring out the where all the buttons are to open the gas door. I get out the passenger side.
Car would not start because she had not opened the driver door (we guess). Bottom line, we both get out , close doors, re-open , good to go. Still no idea exactly what that was all about.
