Manual park release cable, not park break. Basically like putting the transmission in neutral.

If you have no power and can't shift it into neutral for towing, you can pull that to free the transmission from Park.
But I thought this was the parachute release to slow you down when racing.

When trying to have my hybrid towed, we opened the compartment and it's empty. My dealer said my engine shouldn't have a cable. I still don't know how to have it towed if I can't put it in neutral.
I had a flatbed tow truck come and take my dead hybrid to the dealer. We didn’t know about the pull cord, so he put skid pads under the tires and slid it onto the truck bed.

We had to do the same thing, but when the guy came the first time he said Ford wouldn't pay for that and we would have to. He left and we waited another day for Ford to send someone else.
