I looked at the online manual for 2025. The Keys and remote controls section followed by the My Key section was rewritten to show the different fobs and how to program them etc. APPARENTLY the MyKey 6 pages which made reference to admin keys in 2022 manual and immediately followed the rewritten section GOT OMITTED from the manual. my guess.
Here is the information I found in esourcebook. I did find this under the 2024 Maverick, so it looks like the 2024 Maverick had this feature but I don't think it is in the 2025 Maverick.

MyKey allows the programming of vehicle keys with restricted driving modes to help promote good driving habits. All but one of the keys can be activated with these restricted modes.

Programming of MyKey is done via the Message Center, Productivity Screen or center-stack screen, depending on the vehicle. Any keys that remain unprogrammed are referred to as Administrator keys or Admin keys.

Admin keys
can be used to:
  • Create a MyKey with certain vehicle restrictions
  • Program configurable MyKey settings
  • Clear all MyKey restrictions
When a MyKey has been created, the holder of the MyKey Admin key can use the Message Center, Productivity Screen or center-stack screen to determine:
  • How many Admin keys and MyKeys are programmed to the vehicle
  • The total distance the vehicle traveled with a particular MyKey
The ability to track this information by individual MyKey is very useful. Parents can monitor family driving and fleet managers can monitor fleet driver usage.

Here is a Maverick Monday video I did on the features included:

Thanks for checking, Tim. If I discover my '25 has this, I'll email you. Odd that Ford still highlights it on the 2025 vehicle page though.

Thanks for video. The op finally posted that he is interested I creating a valet key that will limit speed to 45mph and maybe turn off tail gate unlock? (I expect he will have to disable manual unlock at least).

Slightly backwards - will disable tailgate was the important part while limiting speed was bonus cookies. But I think I have my answer.

As HRG said above ford dropped mykey from their vehicles going forward to save costs "since barely anyone uses it". Out of curiosity what did / would you have used it for? I have it in my escape and never messed with it.
Many people used it who had kids. They'd sometimes limit the speed to a certain mph. Sometimes they'd set it , so the radio would not play if the vehicle was in drive, but the seatbelt wasn't fastened. Many fleet owners would use it to keep their drivers from doing certain things that such as speeding, driving around unbuckled, disabling traction control, etc. Having said thát, what often happens is that a customer either enables it by accident, or they end up losing the administrative key and are unable to turn the mykey off. The only way to turn it off when that happens is to erase all keys then reprogram at the dealership (or locksmith) using two keys. If they don't have 2 keys available, they'll have to purchase one .

Im a Ford tech. And just purchased a 2025. I cannot find the mykey setting on menu. I'm going to check our service manual to see if it's listed. I suspect they eliminated it. To be honest, many customers were enabling it by accident. And they often didn't realize it because they didn't use that key. But when they lose their administrative key, they will then use their spare key which would have the restroom. We would then have to remove mykey using our scan tool.

I was told by the Maverick Brand Manager that MyKey was removed from the Maverick.

Other than fleet owners, I doubt that many people will even notice or care given the number of our customers who’ve activated it by Accident and come to us to have us disable it 😅
