I guess I am not the only one to try this craziness to add a USB hub to the truck. I am mostly trying to get a power distribution but I got this one from Amazon. I dont really care about the High Speed and it was pricey @ $25. I chose it for the 12V input, the port orientation and slim form factor. Obvious downside now that it is in hand, the supplied cable for the input is USB 3.0 A on one end (not a problem) and USB Micro-B into the hub itself with a helper connector. When I had the console apart, it looked like the input to the USB on the cab interface was regular micro.

I intend to mount it to the back of the glove box along with a small fuse block and relay so that all future accessories act in harmony with Radio Power.

I also got the USB Hub not supported on the screen during a test fit and then gave up. But now I think I will press on and see if the nagging can be ignored.
Probably work fine as long as you only use the charge ports. Os system ??? For data???

RESULT of Testing:
The hub ended up as a $25 12V->5V Power Distribution Unit.

When plugged into the USB A port and on house power, the truck complained that USB hubs are not supported. Also noted that the phone plugged into one of the ports via USB 3.0 to USB C cables the phone was in charging mode. Typically the phone goes into a data transfer mode of either Files OR Photos and Video mode. So the truck did not like the hub and the phone did not like the hub.

Data transfer did still work. My truck has USB A and USB C ports on the center console and the USB C data transfer port did still work to the phone even with the USB hub on USB A.

Results were unexpected as I had previously pulled the center console that feeds the USB A & C ports that are exposed to the cabin and my memory is that it was a singular Mini USB Female so internally some sort of splitter but not a hub.

The USB on the center console (facing rear seat) is a charge only port (in 22-24's don't know on 25's).
