I love my XLT. Though, like everyone else, I agree that the stock sound system is garbage.

Since we get store credit from our Ford points, has anyone tried getting the amp from the Lariat’s B&O upgrade?

Curious if this is even worth it, or if it’s still a budget part for a budget truck.

Also, anyone got a part number? I see one on the Ford OEM site, but it’s 2022-2024. Assuming some parts likely changed for 2025 with the new Sync4 main unit.

I’ll probably get a good set of door speakers from Crutchfield and add some sound deadening while the panels are off. But wanted to see if the Lariat’s amp might suffice, and where/how it mounts.

Totally different wiring harnesses, it is not plug & play. Your best bet would be to add an amp & subwoofer, along with swapping out the drivers in the door, dash & rear pillar. Lots of stuff & configurations to choose from & there is room to mount those items behind the rear seat.

Yeah, I would focus on that and see if that doesn't do it for you. Ditching the garbage OEM speakers and reducing the noise floor inside the cab will be significant upgrades.

You could also replace the dash tweeters, as it is not that difficult.

I kept all the speakers with the B&o system The only thing that I upgraded was the subwoofer in the rear. I bought a 750 w amplifier and a audio control subwoofer. And it sounds awesome!

Following - also have an XLT and don't think it's that bad but would like to replace the speakers for better mids one day. Also possibly add a small amp but would like it to be mountable to the back frame and not take up an entire storage space under the back seat.

If you just want more bass, many "slim" powered subs fit in the slot behind the rear seat for much less money than paying for Ford parts.
