I've had my 2024 Lariat Hybrid for about two weeks now and I'm loving it! Like most everyone else, I had to add on a few items after purchase. Here's what I've done so far:

Installed the Gator FX3 Tonneau Cover from Realtruck.com
Added the Matte black raised Maverick tailgate letters
Installed the Ford branded Console Vault
Installed the Tailgate dampener
Swapped out the tiedown point after adding the tailgate dampener
Added a cupholder/trashcan in the rear seat FITS point
Added a Wireless Android Auto Adapter

I picked the Gator FX3 Tonneau cover because it fits over the cargo management system that was installed on my truck when I bought it. Several I looked at didn't because the tonneau clamps were too large. I like the cover. The only complaint I have about it so far is that if you have to remove the plastic covers over any of the latches to adjust the latching system at all, it's near impossible to get that cover back on the latch! They could have designed that better. Otherwise, it was easy to install and looks and functions great. I ran the truck through the carwash yesterday and found no water in the bed afterward.

I bought the console vault on ebay for about half what Ford wanted for it. It was very easy to install and only took me a few minutes. I never leave valuables in my truck over night, but it's nice to have a little bit more of a secure spot to leave something if I'm running into a store or stopping to eat on a trip.

I got the raised Maverick Letters off Etsy. I like that they are more than just vinyl stickers. They are a raised "3D" rubberlike substance. I just installed them, and they look great to me, but I'll have to see how they stand up after being on a while.

Most everything else I got off Amazon.

I'm sure I'll find something else I want to add. Different floor mats are on the list for sure, and I think I want to add some mud flaps eventually. I Love this little truck!!

Looking good! I just picked mine up Monday and your post answered my question about where to get the tailgate letters. 👍

Glad to help! I really like the raised letters and that Etsy seller was fast! (And I have no affiliation with any of the links I shared). 🙂

Awesome truck! we have basically the same vehicle!

I did the Etsy letters, and they really popped nicely on the truck. Unfortunately, I got rear ended a few weeks ago; the body shop didn't replace the letters so another PITA thing for me to handle on Monday.

I did the Bakflip MX4 cover. I like it. not as watertight as I hope, but I like the low profile.

If you want to install the LED strip lights, they aren't too bad to do. just watch a few videos and get all your parts. I was pretty sore from working on the ground during some of it, but it's been one of my favorite add-ons.

How do you like the vault? I've been debating getting it. I like that it's easier to access than the one udner the rear seat

I really like the vault. It's not that big, but big enough for what I need it for. Haven't had any issues getting into it either.

I may add some LED lights later. For now I want to add the hood protector/bug guard and maybe slash guards. If/when my Ford Pass Points arrive that is.

Consider also getting a Jr. Stubby from Amazon!
Looking great!

The tailgate dampeners do not really work well on the Maverick. The mount on the fender is only attached by one bolt, so the mount rotates as you use it. Your mount has rotated forward which is visible in the photo. The tailgate is not very heavy, so the dampener doesn't add much benefit. I wound up removing mine and returning it.

I like your tie downs. Those look great and look sturdier than what Ford provided.

I'm not sure what you mean. The photo was taken about 10 mins after they were installed so it hadn't had any use. It seems to be working fine, and I like that it doesn't slam down when I have my hands full when I open it. That benefit is great.

Normally, a mount would be held on by 2 or more fasteners so the mount cannot rotate. With the tailgate dampeners, the upper mount uses the existing tailgate support cable bolt which is just 1 point of attachment. Dee Zee, which is the brand I bought, put a crease in their upper mount to try to keep it from rotating on the single mounting bolt. I installed and torqued it, but the strut is under a lot of tension and the first time I used the tailgate I could see the upper mount rotating. The paint is very smooth and yes it rotated. So for me personally, I removed the tailgate dampener as it was simply not of enough benefit to risk damaging the tailgate or paint.

I like my dampener but "to each their own".
Just like some like the tri-fold and others don't.. personally, I don't and would rather get a one-piece (Pro x15).

My tailgate dampener works fine. I had one in my XLT too. Hasn't come loose. Had a factory system on my 2019 F150 Lariat and while this is a better system, the deezee system is fine. My old 2008 Ranger doesn't have one and I really miss the dampener. If I could buy one for the Ranger, I would.
