Stopped by a local dealer this morning to inquire about my Maverick not charging the battery enough to allow the A.S.S. to work. Now mind you, the least of my concern is the A.S.S. not working. I am more concerned with the battery not ever being fully charged or even close to it and how every thing will respond to starting the truck at -30F.
My two takeaways from the conversation.
1. Just be glad you drive a Maverick. The condition is worse on an F-150.
2. Drive the truck more. I explained to him that I went through the round-a-bout 3 times purposely before arriving at the dealership, but the sarcastic humor was lost on him.
So, nothing can be done. Seems like it is the nature of the beast. For the time being, no trickle charger on the Mav. For me, having to do so is bullshite, but that may change as we get deeper into winter. BTW +11F here this morning and no issues.
Finally, the subject of the two horn beeping do funny came up as well. He looked at me like I have 3 heads. I left for the coffee shop.
