Yep, no doubt about it, you're losing touch with reality. LOL

Just read this forum, the Maverick is giving the Edsel a run for it's money!
Hahaha, my wife would say I lost touch with reality years before my Maverick came along. LOL.

This coming February will be two years for mine. I can safely report the same. No big issues, not even any recalls (hopefully, I didn't just jinx myself.) That's a good thing, like you mentioned. Boring and trouble free is a hell of a lot better than recall after recall, poor service visit after poor service visit, defective components like bad CV axles or a blown transmission, so on and so forth.

If there's one main gripe I have that's been mentioned to the moon is the cheap and rattly plastics. I do wish this truck had better build quality. At least throw in a little bit of soft-touch materials that don't rattle like crazy. But, it's to be expected from a truck that initially started at $21K.

I will also mention there is a slight clunk coming from the driver front suspension when I pull into my driveway or parking spots. I'm not sure if that's the infamous CV axle issue that should be addressed or if I shouldn't pay too much attention to it as long as it doesn't affect driveability.

Loved my 22 ecoboost so much, I bought a 23 hybrid, then loved it so much I bought the wife a 24 hybrid. We loaned the 23 to our son he loved it so much he bought a 25 hybrid.
So You own 3 Mavericks or did You get rid of the 22 With the Eco Boost?

I made mistake of going to dealer for service and drove a hybrid and so long eco even though it only had 35K miles on it. So just the 2 hybrids, 23 is carbonized gray lariat already has 24K miles on it and 24 is HPR lariat with 17K miles. Both averaging a tad over 43 mpg. Wife doesn’t drive any more so I alternate driving them.

9 months now, 8,400 miles.
No glitches no recalls no problems of any kind.

I’ll never understand why the mini truck went away or why Taco’s and Rangers and Colorado’s got so fat.

I think it was because of processed foods.
Americans got supersized because of fast food so we needed trucks to get fat with us.

So we could fit.
Mine feels very roomy, I’m not fat.

I have owned 4 Mavericks since Dec of 21 with no complaints other than a lot of recalls on the earlier ones. I recently bought a 25 Lariat but overall I think the XLT is the Best Buy. I like all the extras on the Lariat but in hindsight not sure they are worth the extra money or maybe I am just getting old and drive this truck less.

To keep with this thread I also have nothing else to report other than if you are wondering why 4 Mavericks, the reason was people were offering me silly money for mine so I made some money on each one but that ship has now sailed and don't plan on buying another one anytime soon.:D

Almost 12 months for me and almost 16,000 miles (will be 12 moths at the end of the month), waited 13 months for mine. No recalls and only one issue that we have to wait for some cold weather to see if they can find. Cold air leak, passenger side between the door and the dash. Enough so that the passenger actually has to turn up the heat on that side. lol. Love the little truck, does everything I needed it for. Towing a 13' snowmobile trailer with 2 four stroke sleds), bike on a bike rack in the hitch or kayak on the roof. But sometime I feel like I am still driving my 2020 Escape Titanium as it has the same motor and transmission and handling is very similar. Mileage is similar too. Would probably have stayed with the Escape but I bought a new trailer that weighed almost 500 addl pounds and just felt I would be getting just too close to the 3500 lb towing capacity in the Escape. Do miss some of the options I had on the Escape that just were not available on the Mav.

Approaching 3 yrs (2 yrs - 8 months) Ordered Jul 20, 2021 delivered 5 months later. 1 Hybrid and 1 EcoBoost as a company work truck. I love the fuel savings of the Hybrid, so sold the EcoBoost after 1 year, for more than I paid for it. Zero Regrets....I quickly found the Hybrid has plenty of power for my needs...and Hybrid consistently hits 42-44 MPG without even trying...buying gas once a month is such a benefit. Had far less recalls, etc. on the Hybrid versus the Eco. I can see a new Hybrid AWD in a year or two...but still amazed at the resale value...every dealer visit for service, I get offers for a trade-in.

I'd agree with others; the XLT is the best value. Thought I wanted ACC but after driving one for 2 days, it's just not worth it when you're in heavy traffic...which I am in heavy traffic 80% of the time.

Have my '24 Lariat Hybrid for a little over 13 months, only thing needed was 2 oil changes. This past spring went to see the grandkids north of Chicago, around 1750 miles round trip and the Mav at a steady 77-78 mph gave me a 33 mpg, outstanding ! As I've said, I owned an F150 for about 7 yrs and maybe got 1/2 the mpg. I love this truck

Title says it all, really. In a week I will have had my Mav two years. I waited a year for it. During the wait I wondered if it was worth it to wait this long for any vehicle, but I can say now it was worth every minute. At that time I was hardly the only one waiting this long. It was very much an active topic here and, as they say, misery loves company.

All recalls have been performed and the only issue was the factory AGM battery was defective from the git go and was replaced by the dealer under warranty 6 months or so in. The auto start stop now works as intended, not that I necessarily a fan of it, but I tend to use it as a barometer of battery health. A few other gripes have been addressed as well. The screen is so much brighter and clearer now with the update. The backup camera works as it is supposed to and at night the brighter screen and LED backups make backing up at night much easier and safer.

The truck runs so strong and loves the 91 Octane E-Free gas. I get an extra 3 mpg or so with it so that helps offset a little of the added cost. More power and no more low RPM lugging is the biggest bonus.

I credit this forum for keeping me well informed and updated back in the pre ordering days of 2022. Kudos to all here. Cheers.

I bought my 2025 Maverick three weeks ago after I had to turn in my business vehicle. One of the Teamsters recommended this truck for me. Reading posts like these, coupled with my limited experience of 21 days, makes my choice of a Maverick Hybrid a happy one.

This forum is pretty cool too! I love the discussions and information.

congrats on your truck anniversary.

Glad to hear of your positive experience with your Maverick. Since you have an AWD I am curious if you have a clunk or thud noise coming from the rear when braking? It happens on mine like clockwork when I'm slowing down and hit 13 mph. I'm positive mine didn't do it when it was new but has started doing it in the last few months. I have a 25 Hybrid AWD but I've seen others with EB AWD mention they hear the noise too. Here is a thread I started which has some more info if your interested. Also @Cherokee do you notice this noise on your AWD EB? If I turn traction control off the noise magically disappears too so not sure what to make of it but it sure doesn't sound normal or good.

Same boring report. 2022 Ecoboost XLT LUX AWD CP360. 36,000 miles. Three years this month. Boring three years, which is a good thing.
same with me but 30k and a hybrid - besides one cv axle replacement (and those crappy Continental tires) zero probs. Tomorrow I buy the ESP from Granger ahead of the October bi-annual increase.
