....except it isn't.

I ordered from a high-volume dealer back last November! Ford happily texted (the same day I brought mine home!) that they scheduled my order "for the week of August 5." Meaning that it would be the end of September before I received my order.

My dealer sold me what I wanted for less than we agreed on my order. I even like the color better. So I'm very happy. With my dealer. Ford's ordering and fulfillment process? Not at all.

I ordered the same but without the 4k towing package and in Canonized Gray Metallic. And still paid $500 less.

Sometimes, it's better to be lucky than smart.

With only a 4.5 foot bed on the Maverick, a camper may not be the best idea. Kind of tiny to carry a camper. He might look into towing a travel trailer instead.

Camper is used as either a travel trailer, RV, or motorized vehicle for camping. Depends on where you live the terminology. There is a "camper sales" 5 miles from me and you can not buy a truck camper only travel trailers. Should I sue them for false advertising? Does "Camping World" only cater to those who have a truck camper?

I ordered on 04/29/25 from a STL dealer, and truck IN PRODUCTION now for 2 days and expecting delivery by early July.

I suppose the high vol dealer used up all of his allocations to wait that long?

My ‘24 XL Hybrid with my ‘24 Soaring Eagle 5.0 Truck Camper. It has AC, Refrigerator, Microwave, 54” x 75” Mattress and a solar system, I have added a sink with running water and a few kitchen cabinets. I decided to add air bags to my rear coils and truck tires (upped to 235 vs 225). Absolutely no problems, very easy to drive- even at 75 mph. Fully loaded with myself my 3 dogs and a full tank of fuel (and all are stuff)- per a DOT weight station check, still about 150 lbs under my Maverick’s max GVW on the door. The only negative was a BIG hit on fuel economy at a constant 75 mph- 20 mpg. But, 30 mpg, on secondary roads, staying about 60-65 mph.​
