My linex sprayin bedliner is messed up

I noticed that they sprayed in the rubber inserts which is annoying. I also want to know if they covered any holes for wiring. And should I try to screw something in to make in the holes to make sure it works? I am very disappointed and now I have to make another trip. What should I say to my dealer to get them to fix this?

Irritating I know...went thru the same thing...Took all my hardware in to them asked them to install and they did...at no charge. I suggested before hand that they put golf tees in the bolt holes and they thought that was silly...

I had to use a tap to clean out the two 8mm holes for the bed rail bolts, the front 6mm hole didn’t get as much bed liner in it and didn’t need to be cleaned.

This looks like amateur hour at the Line-X shop! I sold Fords for 23 years and I was the only one who did a decent business selling spray in liners. Local shop not really close to us, but their quality was TOP NOTCH! They always stood by their work. They removed EVERY AND ALL bolts, screws, plugs from the bed and sealed every hole so no product would get in. All those years I had 1 issue, and it was their paint gun malfunctioned, so they kept the truck an extra day. This shop here did a lazy job. If it was my truck, I'd be pissed!

Unfortunately you had a crappy line-x dealer. My dealer removed everything and replaced after the liner was sprayed in. Way more professional that my previous experience with Rhino in previous trucks. I was more than impressed with their attention to detail.

Apparently, all Line-X franchises are not alike. The local Line-X shop closest to my dealer was booked up, so my dealer went to the next-closest Line-X shop about 10 miles away. They sprayed over everything, including bolts and screws that they shouldn't have. Not knowing this, I just went to my local Line-X shop to clean out the two Torx-type screws so that I could install a storage compartment. He was very cooperative. He said that he always covers bolts and bolt holes before spraying, which should have been done on my torx screws. I don't know how much driving it would require, but if you get no satisfaction from your Line-X shop, YOU MIGHT TRY ANOTHER LINE-X SHOP. Good luck.

Agreed check the reviews for your line-x dealer before having them spray it. Some are obviously better than others. My son had his done here in town and they did an awesome job. I just opted for the Lariat which now includes the factory SIBL.

I met with my LineX guy when I made my appointment and told him I wanted everything taken off before spraying. They ended up having my truck for over 4 hours but I would rather wait then rush it. Plus I got a ride to go eat from a friend. So far so good.

Does it really matter? What are they for?

Well, it could’ve been worse - at least they didn’t coat over the tie-downs or torx screws. Just replace the rubber grommets, and chase any threads if those were sprayed.
