Ok, First of all, I am NOT a paid spokesperson for any of the products that I might endorse. When I do, it is strictly from hands-on experience with the product. I'm posting this in the general section because I wanted to make sure it was read by more than just mod heads over in one of the tech forums. Anyway, I've been enjoying the experience of driving my Mav now for just over a year (39,874 mi) and IMHO there are a couple of mods just about everyone should consider for their truck (I use that term loosely - come on...it's a C2 chassis) if they want to get the most out of the driving experience.

Mod #1 - If you've read this far you'll probably never guess that it's an aftermarket OTS (OFF-THE-SHELF) tuner. There are several to choose from. My Mav has been tuned since approx. 2,500 miles. I have experience with the MyCalibrator (Livernois) tune for the Mav and the COBB Accessport tunes. Notice on the Accessport it was plural....COBB offers a number of tunes to flash through your OBDII port. The Livernois tuning is relegated to 1 tune and that is all I will say about that.....
I run the COBB 91 Octane - Sport Transmission tune as my daily driver. A huge difference between the two products is the Accessports "adjustments" setting tab. It gives you the ability to turn on and off the auto stop-start and detailed control over throttle response settings. If you have not experienced the difference in driveability between a stock tuned and OTS tuned Ford product, I suggest you arrange some kind of demonstration. It is night and day to say the least.

Disclaimer......I can't tell you that flashing a tune won't cause you issues with Ford/Warranty. I can say this....I ran the dog doodoo out of my 2019 Ranger with a tune from 20K to trade-in at 106K....was still purring like a kitty kat when Ford got her back.....(They made $8,500 on that truck...I met the guy that bought it ). I've had the Mav tuned since 2.5K and she runs better tuned than not for sure....honestly, they would pretty much have to prove that the tuning caused an issue and that is hard to do. But, having said that, I've heard my catch can voids my warranty....guess it also depends on your dealer....mine is pretty good folks.

Mod #2 - EXHAUST!!!!!! If you didn't notice, our Mavericks sound like a sick skeeter (that's a sick mosquito for all you non-southerners out there) when pressed into service....lol. You can fix that for a fair price. I personally wanted something that had some semblance of a growl instead of the skeeter. That being said I found that the closest thing to being able to evaluate the different sounds from different exhaust systems/manufacturers was to go on YOUTUBE on the my big screen with the Polk Audio surround system and see how they sounded. Once I figured out what I liked I let the better half tell me which one she liked....to my amazement she chose the same one as myself.....so I went with the MRT T-304 SS Extreme Sidekick Exhaust System. The other name for it is the "King of the Hill" Sidekick for the Maverick Tremor (Never mind the name....it fits on any Maverick with a 2.0L Ecoboost). So the wife and I installed it last Friday at the Auto Shop on Warren AFB in Cheyenne Wyoming. It took us just over an hour and that was because I triple check everything as I go....it's probably a 30-45 minute installation if I did it again and so easy your granddaughter could do it.
UNBELIEVABLE SOUND is really all I need to say......I am SO HAPPY I could spit....lol!! Seriously, best mod besides the tune for sure!!

I have a Livernois tuner with 3 tunes-stock, towing, and 93 octane. There are other tunes available from them as well. Where did you get the limit of 1 tune with Livernois?

I also run an MRT Sidekick exhaust and am very happy with it.

I don't understand anything about #1. Mine is a hybrid. "Tuner"? What?
