I’ve never approached that level of mileage. Sport mode? Late higher rev shifting? 45 around Chicago, 34 at 77 mph highway on ECO.
2 years old 55,000 miles so that’s been my experience.
Just completed replacement on the right side at 48K, all good. However, now I am aware of similar shudder at highway acceleration. Set up a new appointment and hope to get the other replaced as well.
I've never come close to that. 36 Highway flat across Illinois @77) and 45 around Chicago. How does Sport do better than Eco? That's counterintuitive. No challenging you, but truly curious.
Replying to my own post. Repaired over the Thanksgiving holiday at 47,000 miles, right front axle. Took about a week for the part to arrive from Nashville. All good… Covered under powertrain warranty.
Scheduled next week to (likely) replace mine at 48,000 miles. Hard shudder under firm acceleration. I didn't notice it until I did, but now I can always sense it. I wonder when they started to go bad. I did not know, however, that there was a problem getting new parts. I drive 600 miles each...
48,000 miles on my 23 hybrid. 90% interstate driving at 75 mile an hour.I had not driven the truck for several weeks because I was traveling and my family was driving it. Immediately noticed under firm acceleration on an on-ramp with rather severe shaking that I backed off the gas. Not at...
i've observed this as well. I often joke when I pull up to a current year F150 in the same color that I say " it looks like your truck had a baby". It's good for warding off the look of superiority. 🙄
but I agree, older F150s and even F250s are nearly the same size. Not so old Rangers even with...
Yes, they gave me the same lecture...but I was just really asking them to adjust it to make the rubber seal hit the tailgate all the way across. It was installed slightly crooked.
EXCELLENT. I've been too lazy to see how it was adjusted/installed. Mine looks like it was installed by the same person...slightly cockeyed and leaves a slight gap at the tailgate that invites water on the drive-thru carwash. My wife was NOT happy that I insisted her suitcase would be just...
I have exactly the same problem. I would get rid of them if it weren't for the glue that's left on the cover. Seems to be a matter of just getting wet through a car wash or heavy rain. At first it was one side, now the other side as well. Very glad to see this post… I didn't know which direction...
All this time I've been putting it in Eco, which intuitively makes me think that would be the best mileage. Slippery is best? But the best I do on the highway is 36… But I'm going 77 mph in a straight line for five hours. On my 20 mile commute to work at 45 or so, I get about 42 to 44 MPG.
I had a 2017 fusion hybrid platinum, beautiful car. Yes, I do miss it but the dealer offered me too much after I paid it off to pass up the cash. 150K trouble free miles. For that reason, I would've bought another one, but they didn't have it anymore. Maverick was as close as I could come, but...
